I really love the โTuned to the Worldโs Soundsโ event so far, I just wish the quest with Kazuha was a bit longer.
Heโs such an amazing character, and I enjoy it so much when he imparts his reflective wisdom on us. I also love that the quest showed us that Kazuha has received closure from his tragic past in Inazuma.
What I find more heartbreaking, is that Kazuha explains that when you play the Zither, you feel a sense of familiarity, as if someone is playing with you. The description of the Floral Zither states โan unpredictable strength has been woven into the ethereal strings that can even allow it to cause the illusions within the heart of its players to surfaceโ.
Seeing that the event consists of the Traveler playing with characters heโs met throughout his journey, itโs safe to assume that these are the illusions or the memory thatโs conjured up by the zither.
When you speak to Juza (Beidouโs co-captain I think) he explains that Kazuha has been in a more joyous mood upon the Alcorโs return to Liyue. Kazuha also tells the Traveler that after he found the zither in the cave, he played it so much that the instrument broke.
I really think that Tomo (unofficial name of Kazuhaโs friend) was the person / illusion that played with him when he played the zither. I feel like through the instrument heโs been able to spend more time with Tomo, as Kazuha was never able to say goodbye to him. The fact he played the instrument till it broke shows just how much he loves and misses him. I think Kazuha feels more at peace now and can move on from the past.
Another thing that I interpreted from the quest is that Kazuha realizes that if he kept the zither, heโd have a difficult time parting ways with his grief over Tomo, which is why he decided to give it to the Traveler (and knowing the Traveler is missing/searching for his sister, playing it would give him comfort).
Kazuha says at the end of the quest that if the Traveler doesnโt want the instrument anymore, heโd take it back, but also says that he hopes he never does give it back. I think thatโs because he knows if he were to have the zither back in his possession heโd never be able to let Tomo go.
This is all just my interpretation and analysis, but damn it really is a lesson in grief and bereavement.
Amazing story, canโt wait for more.
I just had this thought, because Kazuha metions that the Zither belonged to an adeptus, and that It required Glaze Lilies to be repaired. Zhongli's song "An Old Friend's Send Off" being the first one for us to play just raised my suspitions.
Obs: I know that we play it in front of Azdaha domain, and that it could be a reference to him, but when I read "send-off" I imagine someone who's already passed away. I can be wrong as EN is not my first language. Any thoughts?
Obs 2: There's a song in Genshin OST called Guizhong's Lullaby, if you haven't heard, might wanna check it out! It's beautiful.
Hey guys, as the title suggests, I am conflicted about which of these weapons to pick from the BP? Zither will obviously go to starlit astrologos while Kor will go to haxor bunny (since my hor has KOR) and nebulous will go to senti since I only have the raid gloves for her and I heard nebulous is better than her signature weapon for support on her. So what do you think?
I've seen videos of people using Hekate PRI instead of zither on SA, is it simply better?

Why didnโt they have a song with the missing twin? Couldโve put it at the first place we open in game or near the domain we reunite. Iโve almost lost interest in the twin tbh, which is disappointing bc thatโs the mcโs whole motivation
