So I've been watching One Piece for awhile. And have been slowly making my friend watch it as well, and recently I got her to start watching it again, which I'll do by turning it onto where she is in the show and we will binge watch it.
Well the other night we were watching it and my friend tells me, "wow I actually kinda feel sorry for Magellan, he's just trying to do his job" and man I realized how true that is. He doesn't really seem like a bad guy like some of the others employed in the marines. Yet he's the antagonist of the arc solely because it's his actual job to prevent people from escaping the prison, which our protagonist Luffy is doing.
I also noticed that during Marineford when Oars Jr. has the flashback of Ace making his hat, Ace says "I learned how to do this in Wano," is this the first mention of wano in the series? I was mainly shocked about how early its mentioned (in the 450's ish range) when the actual arc of Wano doesn't even start till laaaate 800's.
