A list of puns related to "Simpleness"
So my dudes, my son (my oldest) is turning 4 in about a month.
Being the awesome little man that he is, he is obsessed with space. Seriously. Every conversation is about ice volcanos or Jovian moons or why Pluto is a dwarf planet and not a βrealβ one.
Anyhow my wife likes the idea of making him a custom birthday shirt, my mom has a t shirt press and the program needed to print it.
It fell unto me to come up with some pun, but I fell short. So I come to ask you guys if you have any in mind.
The best yet is May the 4th yada yada which, while heβs watched Star Wars, I donβt think heβll get it.
DM: The innkeeper warns you of a looming bandit camp, sure an attack is imminent on the village, he wants you to intervene before innocent lives are lost.
PC: We don't know where the camp is, could we get a map?
DM: The innkeeper quickly scrawls out a map onto a napkin and-
PC: It's a fucking mapkin.
With the kind of exposure we have seen with sales of NFTs and Crypto art, it is quite understandable for anyone to believe mass adoption of crypto protocols could be accelerated by continued growth of the DeFi space. Elon Musk made a tweet that has got the attention of the crypto enthusiasts with just a simple Pun-like sentence; https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1375031060753346564
Do you think Farming of NFTs and the entire DeFi ecosystem could become the launchpad for adoption?
So I was tasked with composing a 5-6 page research paper for my college English course.
Naturally, I have chosen to rank several different types of broccoli, in flavor, appearance, nutritional value, and appeal to children.
Such a paper needs a strong title, but I'm undecided between a very long scientific title, or a short, simple, pun. Any ideas? The stupider, the better.
I feel like this should be a simple (pun intended) addition, to be able to pull down on the main screen to refresh your totals.
Iβve been playing MHW for a bit now and my Palico always says βIβll purr-loin us an item!β What the heck does βPURR-LOINβ mean, I donβt know if Iβm stupid and overlooking this simple pun, but I literally canβt figure it out and itβs KILLING me. What word is he trying to say?
Title says it all.
Geddit? Beefed up, lol!
That simple pun amused me more than is reasonable.
Look idk why but "Why Not Give Me a Z-Ring Sometime?" is the best title for me. It's such a simple pun and an outdated pop culture reference but it's so fitting as a Team Rocket episode, and especially how the episode is pretty good (and very important to the Z-Ring's title appearance).
Honestly I'm only making this post to remind you of this LEGENDARY TITLE! And nothing can beat this one! I have a few other cool ones like...
May, We Harley Drew'd Ya! (thank u/Kevinator3000 for this legendary reminder), Gymbaliar, Noodles! Roamin' Off, Fly Me to the Moon and Time Warp Heals All Wounds.
Cream of the Croagunk Crop HAD a chance, but that "crop" at the end makes it much worse. Also A Different Kind of Misty is the worst title, such a mean joke to fan service >:(
But hey what's yours? Or more likely a good title cuz I doubt many of you care enough to have a favorite (and since idk if ALL of you know English titles, just because Japanese titles are super long and generic).
Now, if you have a lot of time on your hands, let me explain. These puns are a timely solution to anyone starting to dadjoke. With enough hours of practice, they become clockwork to deliver. Sometimes it's best to watch others perform the joke. I know, some of you may be ticked off with me (which isn't alarming) using my firsthand information on how to easily make a pun and how it has really wound you up. Yes, I'll hand it to you, making a simple pun is second-best to the more thought out grander puns with all the bells and whistles. Whatever makes you tick, I guess.
Just as the title suggests. I currently have accounts with both Alliant Credit Union & Simple.
I want to make things simple (pun intended π) & get rid of one over the other. Which one would you prefer over the other & why?
IDK if this has been obvious the whole time to everyone else, so feel free to let me know & I'll likely take down this post
#Papyrus & Sans are almost intentionally polar opposites
Paps: Tall Sans: Short
Paps: Energetic, & will fight you on the pacifist route Sans: Lazy, but will fight you on the genocide route
Paps: Always looking on the bright side, even if you literally kill him (also, this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Undertale/comments/il1eb1/papyrus_has_hope/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share ) Sans: Believes you'll just reset after every true pacifist ending
Paps: Puts alotta effort into what he does & is happy that he did it, even if it's not great Sans: Literally prefers drinking ketchup than trying to get an actual beverage
Paps: Fancy cuisine! Only the finest! (the special spaghetti in the date/hangout) Sans: Fast food
Paps: Easily angered by even a simple pun Sans: Couldn't give 2 flops about you killing everyone other than his brother
There's probably a lot that I missed, but you get the idea
This going to be a analysis on the Neo Persona protagonist names. Why am I doing this? Honestly I think writing a character's name should represent who they are. When you look up some of the characters names you may find an interesting bit of symbolism behind it. I want to analyze each name and give my opinions on how they work with the character. Then I will rank the names that I think are the best and the worst. Firstly don't start name Wars. I was trying to show an interesting discussion but I won't hold back my opinion. This is all just opinions so please don't get upset if I don't agree with you. This is not a discussion which one is canon it's a discussion on which one fits the best for each protagonist.
Persona 3
Minato Arisato. First things first Minato means Harbor and Arisato means village. Honestly the names does sound nice but he doesn't really have a meaning that works with the main character of Persona 3. It was literally the name that the mangaka gave to him in his play through. I don't hate this name it's just doesn't really have a meaning. The only thing I can really give is that a causes less confusion in the Persona fan base. I can't really analyze this name because there's not a lot there. You could say he Harbors everyone he loves in his heart but that's stretching it.
Makoto Yuki. The meaning of Makoto is truth and the meaning of Yuki means snow. Honestly I used to prefer the Minato name because it caused the less confusion but when I really think about it I do kind of prefer the Makoto Yuki name. Personally I think the snow part of his name represents how cold he can be at the start of the game. He's supposed to be this cold character that doesn't really reactor have that much emotion. He's really just indifferent to most things. The Makoto part of his name could also mean that you have to stare at the truth of death. Death will always happen and that is true. That was kind of stretching it as well but that's what I got out of the name. I really do like the Yuki part of the name because it works the most with his character but the symbolism in the name definitely is a stretch.
Witch one id better? Honestly with Persona 3 protagonist names are pretty much just tide on how harmless they are. They're not bad names they're just normal names that don't really have any meaning. I do prefer Makoto Yuki but it is kind of annoying how it can cause confusion but you can just say Yuki to avoid it. Personally I just switch between really
