The wife was asking for recognition over the labours she endured for me, in order to give me my two kids...

So I thanked her for her cervix.

I've always made them but this one got me some good recognition

I have always made dad jokes, when my fiancΓ© got pregnant I was happy because I could get away with saying them now. I was at training for my new job the other day and we were booked in for lunch at a local steakhouse.

The trainer was asking us about stake holders in the company and she said who are our stake holders? To which I replied "I don't know but I will be a steak holder at lunch" the rest of the class then all moaned and let me know how I was such a dad except for the other dad in the class who joined me laughing hysterically!

My dad is a dadjoke dad through and through. He usually doesn't get me but this one needed some recognition from my behalf.

My mom was showing him pictures of my cousin on her phone that had sent her pictures in front of a famous ice cream parlor back in our hometown. It was the parlor's 9th anniversary and my cousin was pictured in front of a big "9" in the store. My mom was explaining to my dad that the place had been open for 9 years and my dad replies with...

"Wow, that's impressive. How did they get the ice cream to not melt all this time?"

My wife accidentally killed one of her plants by over watering...

I told here I guess it wasn't the right Thyme for it.

Yes, it was a Thyme plant.

(My son is too young to understand how great her eye roll was so I need recognition somewhere)

Arnold Palmer

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Arnold Palmer recently. I'm not a big golf guy, and while he deserves his legacy as a great golfer, he was also an inventor of some note, and I think he deserves some recognition on that front, too. The story goes that while he was on a golf tour in Turkey, he was having a lot of trouble with sand traps there. On the spot, he invented a new type of pitching wedge. He designed it with a broader face, to open up the sweet spot and help get out of traps faster. Sadly, I don't think that he'll be remembered as the inventor of the open-faced Turkey sand-wedge.

Got my buddy today

He posted something along the lines of "I almost forgot that the Berlin Wall came down today!" I responded with "Today? I thought it happened 25 years ago!" It was my first joke that actually got recognition from someone else and I'm proud of it.
