I am a beginner in the world of crypto. I was reading about the bitcoin blockchain works and I have a few questions:

1. I am unable to understand if the public key is the same as the address?
2. I have also read that public and private keys are cryptographically related. Some wallets (Hierarchical Deterministic wallets) can create multiple addresses from the same private key. How do they do that?

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me out here because I'm stumped.

I just got a new router and set up ports for Sonarr and Radarr so I can access them remotely through my phone. With my old router, I was able to access Sonarr through my public IP address while connected to WiFi with no issues, but when I try to do the same with this new router it does not work. I can access Sonarr on WiFi using my internal IP address with no problems, but I just find it odd that I can't through my public IP address.

If I disconnect from WiFi, I am also able to access Sonarr through my public IP address so I'm guessing there's a setting on my new router that's different to my old one. Thanks in advance for any help with this!

A kid in my neighborhood wants to start doing "compliance cuts" for people who, for whatever reason, cannot cut their grass and aren't in a financial position to deal with the fallout. He wants to make a sign with Venmo / PayPal and CashApp QR codes so people can donate so that he can keep affording to do it. He wants to take Bitcoin too but I told him you shouldn't reuse an address with Bitcoin.

I don't really do more than buy and HODL, how can I get this kid set up safely to accept donations?

Most addresses in NY, NJ, PA in the United States I cannot find using OSM but there is the US census geocoder (free public facing dataset) that I can use to find addresses.

I have to resort to using 3rd party apps to search the address and export the coordinates to OSM. Why cant OSM integrate those features or at least have plugins.

I think most people care about locating an address on a map and not if a park has 2 or 3 benches.

EDIT: After feedback I realize the problem with bulk import as large datasets might not have accurate data and it's worse to have wrong data than no data. My state has excellent Parcel information so I will join the OSM mailing list and propose bulk import of addresses for parcels the size of 2-3 acres by locating the centroids.

Or is there another way of accomplishing this "airgapping" to isolate a network from your home network, while still having access to the internet? Curious because I'm thinking of getting a hacktop with a Kali image to do some experiments. I watched a tutorial and it directed you to set up an internal network for both the Kali image and the vulnhub. But that means the Kali box won't have access to the internet, right? Which seems like a shame...

Hey Miners, I would like some clarity on the Observed Listen Addresses vs API Reported Listen Address and how my ISP updating my Public IP will delay the update on the API Reported Listen Address.

• My Router is set to update my public IP Address via my ISP every 24 hours.
• The Observed Listen Addresses is the live updated IP address seen on Diagnostics
• The API Reported Listen Address is delayed as it often shows the old IP address the ISP released 24 hours ago
• Therefore sometimes my miner shows Observed Listen Addresses vs API Reported Listen Address being different on https://app.heliumstatus.io/
• The error received: Your hotspot has a different listen address than the one listed in the Helium API. You may have noticed a period of lower earnings whilst the gossiped information updates. This can happen if your hotspot is relayed and the relay fails, or your IP has changed. Be patient and wait for the changes to update. This can take a day or two.

What is the workaround? Is this normal? Surely the delay in updating the API Reported Listen Address will result in fewer earnings? How does all this work?

Sometimes they will actually ask to validate this email by clicking a link they send, but in most of the cases there are no such measurwa. They are collecting email addresses so send ads to or to sell to advertisers, at low acquisition cost.

Hi guys,

I was struggeling long time setting up XMRvsBeast Raffle. I realized that my ISP doesn't provide me an public IPv4. Then, I tested a service for 7 days where someone provided me an public IPv4 (in cooperation with my ISP) - then it worked well! I already won the raffle once. Since I don't want to spend 10€ per months (that's the price for the pub IPv4 service), I did some research on my own.

I've set up an VSP for 1€ per month. I want to use it to convert IPv4 requests on the machine and forward it to the respective port (IPv6) on my PC that is mining. So I've set firewall rules for these ports in the VPS provider settings, installed "6tunnel" (on Ubuntu) and used the following command:

>6tunnel [PORT] [IPV6ADRESS] [IPV6PORT]

This should have worked since no error was thrown. Additionally, I've set the respective port forwarding rules in my router (IPv4 + IPv6!). And of course I've added firewall rules to my mining PC (Win 10).

When I use this tool https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ , it says that the respective port is open.

I just re-registered for the raffle and that worked as well (didn't work without the VPS before (just for the 7 day trial of the expensive service))!

So I am happy that these things worked at least already.

But one things were me curious:

• monerod.exe continues throwing "No incoming connections, check firewalls/routers allow port 18080"
• p2pool does not show incoming connections (besides I've enabled them by setting them to "2")
• XMRvsBeast raffle history showed "2022-01-07 19:23:01 ERROR: Unable to connect to your p2pool node" - but I am not 100% sure if this may have been the time where I reinstalled the Ubuntu image today (does this error occur when the port closes in general or only when I've won but it didn't work?)

Now I am pretty unsure if it worked anyhow. Do you have any idea how to test it by myself without waiting for the raffle to choose me one day?

I already checked if my ISP maybe gave me a new IPv6 prefix but negative!

I already thought about using a DynDNS but since my IPv6 prefix is the same as when I set up the 6tunnel on the VPS, this shouldn't be causing this issue, right?

I am very thankful for all of your hints or ideas!
