A list of puns related to "Addressee"
I bought a $200 item and it came damaged so I set up a return with the seller. the seller emailed me a label.
The label was for the same town but it had a different name and address then what the return address said on the first package sent to me. The house number is like 6 houses down from the sellers real house. Also the address listed as the return on the website also had the real address but again the label was NOT that address.
I sent the package for return. It was delivered yesterday, then today it updates to addressee unknown return to sender.
But the thing is on the label he gave me I noticed the tracking number, return address and all other info other then barcode and his "address" had been deleted, like it was white blank paper in those spots. Almost like they photoshopped it out and only left the barcode and his fake address on it.
So it has no return address, it was sent back to sender.
I am assuming this is a scam so they dont have to refund and they did this so the package would be "sent back" and he would not have to refund me. and now the item will be lost forever since there is no return address. so ill be out money and the item. and he will get paid but get no item.
I guess that besides venting, I'm looking for help on where to officially complain... Trying to do it online does not work because it's not domestic mail.
On December 2, I mailed two packages to family. One was to Belgium and the other to China. Both included custom-made calendars I send to my family every year. I have never experienced this level of corruption and inadequacy in the 10 or so years I've been doing this. Here's the current path of the China-bound package (for which I paid $27.75 to mail - tracking: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=lh157092205us):
I mean, what the hell? It's STILL in the US.
My package to Belgium (paid $28.25), mailed on 12/2, left Chicago on 12/8, arrived in Portugal on 12/10, arrived in Brussels on 12/19, and my aunt just informed me she had to pay 27 euros in taxes (that's more than the value of the calendars and about the same as what I paid to mail it). She still hasn't received it, but should get it this coming week.
Who do I complain to? Do I have any chance of getting my aunt's money back?
I ordered an item online and it was supposed to arrive today, and I tracked it just now and it says
"Addressee Unknown Your item was returned to the sender on September 27, 2021 at 6:39 pm because the addressee was not known at the delivery address noted on the package."
I contacted to seller to see if they misprinted my name or address in the label and they showed me the image of the label they printed and all the info are correct and I've lived at this house for almost a decade and have received countless packages so I'm not sure what happened to this package.
Edit: I was able to get it, I went to the post office and talked to them and they said that the RTS notice was just used to put a stop and it was on the truck for redelivery today.
I'm a current federal employee looking to move to a new opportunity within the Fed. I always write a cover letter with my applications but have just been addressing them to "Hiring Manager". My understanding is that the manager looking to hire someone will write and then pass the job posting to HR who then posts the listing on USA Jobs. I know within my own agency, all job opens are posted by ,and have the agency contact info as, one of our HR reps. I have been writing my cover letters with the hiring manager as my target audience.
Does anyone have any advice on if I should continue to address my cover letters to the "Hiring Manager" or if should I be addressing them to the job posting contact name?
Who is paying for it?
The story took place before WW2. A guy wrote to his friend in Germany and the friend was a raging NAZI. The first guy started writing things that were suggestive of "Jewishness" as I recall. The final letter to the guy in Germany ended (this just came to me) with something like "may the God of Abraham be with you".
The letter was returned stamped "addressee unknown". That might even have been the title.
Read this 50 years ago and it stuck with me, I'd like to find it again.
Thanks.
Hello! I've been having an issue with a Priority Mail package that was unfortunately returned to sender by my apartment because of a mixup in which my friend's name was labelled as the addressee on the package instead of mine and so the package was returned to sender on September 9, 2021 under the alert "Addressee Unknown" -

There hasn't been any notification of "Return to Sender Processed" or anything in the past week, and I've called the USPS hotline on two different occasions, with one call telling me to "check with the sender by the end of the week (September 18)" (I did check with the sender yesterday and they haven't received it) and another telling me today that since there hasn't been an update as far as the package being reprocessed, it may have failed to be scanned or it may just be sitting in the post office as far as they knew.
I'm quite worried that the package may have gotten lost or is being ignored, as I've heard that Priority Mail packages are returned to sender as Priority Mail, and obviously that isn't the case for my package, given that it's been over a week and to no avail. Should I be this worried? Is the return to sender process really this complicated, and how much longer should I wait for this package to resurface and be returned so I can have the sender send it back under the correct addressee?
Thank you!
If I get first-class mail addressed to an unknown person at my correct address (not a past resident as far as I know, and not marked βor current residentβ), what is the correct marking to write on the envelope when putting it into outgoing mail? Iβve seen multiple different recommendations but not sure which is correct:
Or some combination of these?
Thanksβtrying to figure out why all of a sudden Iβm getting mail from things like USAA and the IRS for a random person Iβve never heard of at my address and what to do about itβ¦hopefully nothing nefarious is going on.
Iβve had a letter for the previous person who used to live in my flat. I ticked the box saying they no longer live here and Iβve had it sent back to me twice. What do I do with it now? I donβt want to post it again and receive it for a 4th time overall.
They were all sent in separate packages, and the status all shows the same for each. What should I do in this situation? They totaled around $300 sale price and the shipping cost was about $50 between them all. If they arrive back the same as sold, is there a way to refund the cost minus the difference in postage? I had free shipping. Do some of the eBay fees get credited back if I do a partial refund? I am really confused as to why the buyer would do this. It looks like eBay considers this as voiding buyer protection, is that true? I was wondering if this was some kind of scam, but I donβt know how theyβd make that work.
Edit: I looked further at the tracking, and the packages all show βdeliveredβ and then 5 minutes later they show βrefusedβ
At this minute, I'm overhearing a Zoom service meeting. They are talking about the upcoming convention invite over phone and mail. I've done this before of getting the address that are going to be used and writing my own letter campaign of informing about TTATT to those individuals. The return address is WT headquarters. I also give my sock email account in case the addressee wants more info. I always get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I do this.
This is with parcelforce from usps but does this mean i need to pay a fee is it seized , any helps appreciated thanks been 2 days like this
I spent way more than I usually would on a single game and now I'm freaking out.
Apparently it's being sent back to the sender and they haven't responded to my messages yet.
Anybody know what happens next? Should I contact the usps?
(Not me but my mom) My dad's brother lived with us for a few months last year. It's now been almost a year since he moved out. For months after he moved out we continued to get mail for him, in spite of the fact that he said he changed his address (not few weeks, months). Finally my mom started marking it "Return to Sender. Addressee Moved //" (my dad knew and agreed with this ). Last week I get a call from Uncle. DMV is sending his license plates to his address and would we please not send them back ("idk why got guys started doing that in the first place, but whatever" ) Keep in mind, he called me, not mom or dad. The plates finally come with the obvious DMV info saying "Uncle" lives at "Our Address". Mom marked them "Return to Sender. Moved //" because she was concerned that, first of all, it's illegal to give the wrong address to DMV and second of all, does that mean if he gets a ticket or something, is our address gonna pop? Like, are the cops or whoever gonna think he still lives here? Well dad freaked out and how dare she do that to his family and don't you ever f"cking do that to my family again. Since we did the exact same thing to the rest of his mail and dad knew and was ok with it, mom didn't think it would be an issue to send this back too. Is She the Asshole for sending it back even after Uncle asked us to hold on to them?
The insaan The nafs The abd The Adam The bashr Do above mentioned words meant for same shape or specie?
A buyer messaged me that the tracking said this and told me their address is correct and they want me to send it out again once it gets back to me. Anything I can do? Iβm thinking the same thing will happen since the address would be no different. Donβt want to waste more postage just to have the same thing happen. eBay would cover from negative feedback in this situation since the buyers at fault, correct?
It gives definitive clarification that it is not one of their own packages, and gives other members of the household a chance to receive the package and wrap it for the recipient. My family also knows that packages addressed like this are from me, as Iβm the only one who does addressing this way.
Itβs been especially helpful with not gathering this year for the holidays, and with 4 family birthdays between now and Christmas. All birthday gifts were also further addressed to βBday for FirstName LastNameβ to ensure there was no confusion that it was for Christmas.
Ive sent all my gifts from various merchants with βGift for FirstName LastNameβ or some other similar addressing version and it has never once caused an issue with the merchant or postal carrier.
Your letter makes me cry again. Should I pretend I didn't receive it ... but again?
This time your letter set my heart to fluttering coz it looked like a love letter. You are so confident about your love & the future with your person. I started smiling as I kept reading it.
But the ending paragraph didn't make sense to me. I realized you were writing to someone else -- I guess your current love.
Again you sent your letter to the wrong person. You write so many letters to more than one person.
Recently you don't look OK. I doubt you have enough sleep. Still you try to help others. That's why you are so precious.
Don't worry about me. I never imagined to be your lover nor your friend. Probably you care about me? coz you care about everyone. You don't have to make me happy this way. You are too good to me. If you still care about me, you know what I want.
Well, didn't you want to be remembered as a son of the dreamer & seeker for truth & love, freedom & justice?
You told us many dreams & stories. Your belief made me truly hopeful. You are such a lovable clown. By making others happy, you can feel the happiest.
Don't be stuck in this tower. I fly back to the moon lit forest. You go back to the sun rise street where you can entertain people. Then you will be happy again. Oh don't forget bringing your love with you.
I want to see you, as a trickster, being as happy as in those days. Then I will no more cry but breeze & smile every time seeing you somewhere in this small world.
