Hello! I've noticed that among pro acts it is not uncommon for a large monitor to be placed in front of the stage (facing the band) with lyrics, prompts, and chord info.

It's like a teleprompter, if you will.

For reasons I can't quite understand, I have not been able to find a software like this online. Does any of you have any experience with this or pointers on how I can accomplish something similar?

Alternatively, do you know if there is an app like backtrax or setlist helper that can run synchronized in ever band member's phone or tablet? (what I mean by this is that all devices can be synced to the main one, so that just one band member presses play and we're all synced rather than having each person press play once and trying to time it right.

I am testing the ability of QStart to be used as an input to a TriCaster 2 Elite via QStart's built-in NDI functionality. The TC2 can see the QStart as an NDI source when I put QStart into prompter mode and I can configure an input to use it, but nothing appears on the input. Autocue customer service says that it should work and that it must be a problem on NewTek's end. NewTek predictably said it was not on their end. Has anyone encountered this problem before, and if so, were you able to solve it?

Running NDI Screen Capture while also running QStart is an option that works, but I would prefer using QStart by itself.

BTW, are there any other teleprompter programs that have built-in NDI?

During zoom field service, one woman in my group wondered whether Gerrit Lösch was reading a teleprompter while giving one of his talk for the Annual Meeting Part II. She stated that Fred Franz appeared to give his talks by heart. Obviously she could tell that there was a significant difference between Lösch's performance and Franz's performance. She made a big deal about how Fred Franz was blind, he had the bible totally memorized and he couldn't use any notes when he gave a talk. Legend has it that Franz had to have someone come tap him on the shoulder when it was time to finish the talk ( u/firejimmy93 made a post about this). I am far too young to know anything about Fred Franz but according to the asinine overlapping generation doctrine, Fred Franz, my grand parents, my parents, and all the children of my aunts and uncles( all older than me)are all the same generation!🤪

For all of our larger productions I hire a prompter crew and when I occasionally have single-cam to-cam jobs I've been borrowing a friend's prompter that works in our studio, but it's happening enough I just need to get one. I've used all kinds of setups and prefer either one I can pop on my rails or the ones you build on a light stand. (Not a fan of the whacky long tripod-mount systems).

What does everyone like brand / model wise? I'm seeing so many options and so many mixed reviews, figured I would get some opinions here. Thanks! (Would like to keep it under 1k$)

Hi, not sure if this even exists. I would love to have a software that displays text in a small window that can be edited (text and background color etc.), and where the window can also be as small as it needs to be. Then I press a key, and it loads the next sentence/paragraph. It should offer the option of displaying the text in a small window instead of full screen.Doesn't need to be free software, although that would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Edit: the hotkey/shortcut needs to be able to respond when the window of the app is not in focus.

I have a stoic/mma promotion every time I want to do a Gruesome Match the fight ratings are always under 75%. What am I doing wrong are is a different style.

1.In the ps4 version of fpww you can push l1+l2 to get unlimited fighters is there way to do that with a keyboard and mouse

While working out some ideas for side plots and one-offs for my players in an ongoing campaign, I was drawing a bit of a blank and making some pieces fit, so I started typing up some charts of different ideas for Motivations, Goals, and Plot Twists that I could use to jog my imagination. From there it spun into something bigger when I ran across the RandomGen. The main part of the Generator and the default option that provides the combined prompts.

The intent is to give some bullet points to spark some ideas and one can use as little or as much of what comes up as they want. I've used some normalized terms across the Motivation, Goal, and Twist details as follows:

• Initiator = The one who starts the Plot
• Plot = Combination of a Motive, Goal, and often a Twist and Target
• Party = Individual, Group, or the Players
• Something = Inclusive of some person, object, creature, and/or place
• Target = Who the Plot is being carried out against, if applicable, can use lists from the drop down to generate ideas

The main page gives 5 different prompts, which can be increased to up to 50 at once on the right side in the Amount field. In the prompts, the topmost line is the potential source of the Plot sometimes including something that can be deduced as the Initiator of the plot, sometimes not, use your best judgement. The Motive and Goal are the core parts that everything else revolves around, even if you ignore everything else.

Here is an example of how this plays out, trying to use core aspects of the generator:

• Job posted by Underworld Contacts
• Motive: Hubris - Wishes to have their Goal achieved because they clearly think they know how to use or direct it best, or that their vision or need to succeed is superior to others.
• Goal: Control - To attain or maintain power over others, something more ephemeral, or even themselves, and direct or strongly influence their behavior, activities, and course of events.
• Twist: Butterfly Effect - Unknown and unintentionally to any involved, the ripple effects of this particular Plot’s success or failure will cause something drastically unexpected to happen later.
