A list of puns related to "Premature Birth"
For the sake of personal curiosity, I wonder if a significant proportion of people with long covid were also born prematurely.
It you're comfortable sharing please let me know.
I cut contact with my Mum and step-dad 4 years ago due to a terribly abusive childhood which neither of them would acknowledge let alone apologize for. When I cut contact I gave her the option of attending our wedding and meeting our future children as long as my step-dad didn't attend. She couldn't respect my boundaries and told me it was both of them or nothing. I chose nothing and I have been recovering over the past 4 years with the help of counseling. Now she has found out through the grapevine that our wee boy was born very early and she is sending messages to my brothers and now my husband asking for information and saying how she'll never give up on her family and that she wants to be there to support me etc etc. It makes me mad that she is fishing for information about our son and continuing to act like she is a great Mum and Nana. I won't retaliate but some support would be great right now as the last thing I needed right now is to have her pop up in my life. She hasn't contacted me once in 4 years... which shows she is using the fact that I'm in a very vulnerable position to try to worm her way back into my life... grr
A woman who unexpectedly went into labour in while quarantine has been ordered back into isolation without her premature baby son who was born at just 30 weeks.

I had my first son almost 7 years ago ten weeks early. My water broke at 29 weeks and he was born at 30.
I am currently 13 weeks and 5 days with my second and I am absolutely terrified of going through that again. Not only that but Iโm terrified of it happening sooner than the last time. Iโm a big ball of nerves and feel like I canโt even enjoy this pregnancy out of fear.
Has anyone else on here had a preemie but go on to carry to full term with the next pregnancy?
Not only was she 4 weeks early with Flynn, but she had cholestatis then too. And that was part of what sent her in to labor so early. This time around, she knew she was having twins, knew twins come earlier than singleton pregnancies, knew she had a history of going into early labor, and now sheโs saying she actually had cholestatis again this time? So how was she not ready for the twins coming at 32-33 weeks?? She KNEW she could go into labor at any second for a while, why was she so unprepared?? And how did she not take the dangers of when her water broke seriously? She also knew she was most likely going to have a c section, so why did she stuff her face before hand?
I just donโt get why she didnโt seem to prepare at all for this, and she seems surprised that theyโre actually here so early and that everything happened the way it did. Her doctor even told her to prep for a possibly traumatic birth/new born experience. She had every warning sign in front of her to know to be ready but she justโฆ didnโt?
I have a friend (we are not super close but she is still a friend) who now works for my company under a group I lead. She is pregnant and called me yesterday and told me her water broke. Instead of realizing she is still seven weeks out I just jumped the gun and seemed excited and squealed. I feel so stupid about it because she had to clarify with me she still had almost two months to go and seemed really stressed about it, near tears, and said she was scared. I then tried to cover it up by acknowledging I didn't realize she still had seven weeks to go (I did know her due date, but I honestly just jumped the gun with excitement and wasn't thinking). I just feel so stupid and am cringing just thinking about the interaction. Totally clueless. Is there anything I should say / do to remedy this beyond just telling her I support her and am thinking about her? CRINGE.
How are the babies different? Does the brain not develop correctly? Etc etc
