It seems to me that nobody is really playing portal. It’s hard for me to find a lobby, and it seems that most people are playing AOW instead of portal.
This bums me out because portal is my favorite mode by far. I am really enjoying BF3 conquest. I enjoy it much more than AOW.
I think the reason people aren’t playing portal much, is because there is no progression. Sure you progress your overall rank, but I think if portal had its own progression, people would play it a lot more.
I think it would be really cool if each gun in portal had its own progression to unlock attachments and skins, and then if you fully level up a gun, you would be allowed to use it in AOW. Think of how cool that would be. It would add more gun variety to AOW, and it would give more incentive to actually play portal.
Why would anyone want to spend 70 euros just to keep a server up overnight over keeping it up as long as someone's in it without paying a cent?
It would destroy me if I had to pay 70 bucks just to host my zombies mode.
Long story short my current POS backend got hacked and now I am looking for a new POS that just prints reports but does not store information on the cloud. Any advice? Basically looking for an old school Z report off a POS system if that makes sense.
For what I've seen so far regarding leaks, it seems like the base game only has 22 guns IN TOTAL. They also say that Portal will have 75 guns at launch. You won't be able to use Portal guns in AOW but you can do everything that's in the base game in Portal (plus the class system) so why would anyone even bother playing AOW in the first place? I just hope there isn't a catch to all of this.
What title says, it's a mode I took a lot of time to plan and make, and now that i've accomplished what I planned, no one seems to be joining, if you wanna join, you'll find it in server browser as WW2 INFECTION PVP WITH SHOP AND POINTS SYSTEM.

In short, they've capped the amount of XP you can earn per minute, and removed your ability to earn ribbons in CUSTOM, non-featured Portal experiences. This makes sense by itself; however, I believe this system can be made much more simple and has been in the past. Portal should not limit the amount of XP you earn IF the server is running vanilla settings on vanilla game modes. What do I mean by this? Let me give you an example. Say someone wants to run a server with Rush on maps in several different eras. As it stands now, your XP/minute would be capped because it's not a featured experience. Every player in this server should be allowed to earn XP at the full rate if it is set up with standard health, weapon damage, vehicle spawn times, PvP bots, etc.
Just my 2 cents. If anybody has better ideas please share them below.

“There’s one thing I’m very particular about. The filing system,” Osbert held up the clipboard, flipping it around like it was a prized diamond in a case. “It extends to every facet of the job. I would like to walk you through it, and for you to pay extra attention.”
“Of course,” Unity nodded. “I’ll try my best.”
“That’s a good attitude to live by,” Osbert nodded. His arm extended to the left, and his body followed. Unity walked slightly behind him.
As they walked further to the back of the facility, she couldn’t help but notice a door that seemed unfit for the spick and span interior of the whole place. Very much like Osbert, the place was black and white—but this door glowed dangerous red, and pulsed like it had a living heartbeat.
“... What’s that?”
Obsert turned, and waved a nonchalant hand.
“The portal to the nethersphere hellscape. We mostly use it for storage,” Osbert said. “Now, the really fun thing about the filing system—”
“The… hellscape what now?”
“Nethersphere hellscape,” Obsert said. “Now, the filing system. See, the colour tagging system is not random. Warm colours are reserved for living documents, while the—”
“Osbert, I’m sorry,” Unity said, wrangling her hands together. “I… I just… what?”
Osbert glared at her, before finally sighing.
“This is your first time at a job like this, yes?”
Unity nodded.
“It’s fairly common in our line of business, where storage comes at a premium,” Osbert explained. “Having access to a hellscape simply makes good business sense. Speaking of good business sense, the green colour range is our option of choice for anything relating to financials—”

This is really frustrating. Like most I utterly hate the Specialist system for the core modes (Im 100% ok with it in Hazard zone) but I was willing to let it slide because I thought I could just essentially remove it via portal so I can just make a 2042 game mode with all the new stuff but restricted into the old class system we know and love.
However, upon experimenting with portal I noticed that I was unable to mix cross era weapons and gadgets to different games so I for example can't have BF3 classes with 2042 weapons and gadgets. Then I heard this can be done with the logic editor I went to give it a try except for the simple fact that the Logic Editor just isn't available for conquest for whatever reason and is only available for FFA and TDM.
Because if this it seems that setting up classes with weapons and gadgets being only available to certain classes and wanting to set this system up with all the new stuff 2042 has added is impossible. At most all I can do is set up BF3 settings on the new 2042 maps but be unable to use the new weapons and gadgets. Basically the only way we can use the new weapons and gadgets 2042 added in Conquest is through the Specialist system. We literally can't escape it even with Portal which is utterly unacceptable.
Maybe they'll add it at some juncture but at this point i'm not sure I can justify not cancelling my Pre-order as being able to bypass the specialist system via Portal was what I was looking forward to the most.
Obviously i'm not the first to discover this, but is anyone else kind of disappointed with how this is turning out?
Also cosmetics and camos could be unlocked this way and they can shove their microtransactions up our butts because its basically like a seperate BF. If they give us 100 Portal ranks which can only be farmed when you actually play portal, and get some sort of prestige like in the main game, than i swear most people wouldn't even touch the main game anymore.
Is it only mine? I'm trying to apply leave for tmr since 6pm, but the damn thing keeps saying Error 500. Called the hotline but they say the leave system is not down and it's also not undergoing maintenance and just told me to wait? smlj lol...
