A list of puns related to "Palais"
Got my second dose today and as I sit here waiting my 15 minutes, I figured I'd let you know that Palais is very quiet right now.
Despite my appointment being at 10:20 they let me go up at 10 and I was done by 10:10.
There's no real change since my last post on the procedure.
Get vaccinated, fully, mes amis!

Edit: someone raised a very important point in the comments. They asked me, in two different ways, if it had been 8 weeks so make sure your 8 weeks have elapsed. Mine was to the day.
Was checking the website every day to move my appointment. Just noticed that the whole month is available today. Probably they received a new batch of vaccines.
Currently at Palais des Congrès for my wife's second dose.2021-06-10 @16h10. Here are some quick tips:
Don't bother with the 200 Portage parking lot. It's packed and the line is 50 cars deep up Laurier. Go to the backup lot. It's pretty full but there are spots.
Don't enter from the big bus station on Maisonneuve; go up to Portage 2 (I think it is) entrance up the hill where all the buses turn the corner. It takes you straight into the food court where you line up.
Expect to wait but don't worry about being late. They just took the 15h50s in and it's 16h10 which is our appointment time.
Ask the kid at the food court where to line up so you don't get in the wrong line.
The walk-in line is moving pretty quickly. There were 10 people a minute ago, most of whom were there for 5 minutes. There's one left now.
Hope this helps someone.
Edit: update at 16h47. We are almost at the registration desk so a out 40 minutes behind schedule. Things have moved pretty well all things considered. It's very busy.
Edit 2: update at 17h04. All done and starting our 15 minutes. Some slight differences from the first time but just in the placement of things. Instead of registration desks being in an L, they are set up in two rows. Also, at the injection station, the nurse sits between two patients instead of it being beside the station where you get asked questions. Super efficient and very very friendly. Also very willing to speak English which is one of the reasons why I came with my wife.
Stay safe my friends! #cavabienaller
There is currently 0 wait time for walk-in appointments for Moderna.
Source - Am getting vaccinated now.
Friendly alert! There are loads of new appts for Pfizer. I moved up an Aug25 appointment to July20 on when it opened for my age group - and just now, I was able to rebook to June which is exactly 8 weeks after my first dose. Lucky look on my part... just hopeful seeing as there was more vaccine deliveries announced today.
The process on the clic santé portal is exactly the same to move up an appointment on a second try.
Expect over a 2 hour wait beyond your appointment time.
Edit: also, the whole thing was a marvel of disorganization. One rep on the entire floor handling hundreds of people, who only spoke French. Found myself playing translator for a dozen poor souls.
The website just updated and there are a lot of appointments available now!
Has anyone received their 2nd dose by going to the Palais des Congrès without an appointment? How was that? Anything I should know of?
Dude was like 2 feet from people's window barking directions on where to park, without a mask. Literally every other traffic/guard was wearing theirs though.
Still, the process was surprisingly organized and efficient...wasn't expecting that from the Government. As a recent resident to the area, I wasn't sure what to expect. Exceeded expectations.
10/10 would get microchipped again.
Since Quebec just got a bunch of Pfizer vaccines, I checked and there are openings all day from Saturday to Monday (22-24) at the Palais des Congres for appointments, for anyone who hasn't booked or wants to move up their appointment without getting up early for a walk-in!
I'm sorry this is not related to McGill, but I feel like lots of McGill students also got their first dose at Palais des Congres as a walk-in, so I would love to hear whether you were able to advance the second-dose appointment.
I called them yesterday to advance my second dose appointment, and they told me I can't advance my appointment cause my first-dose was a walk-in. So the only option I got is to walk-in for the second dose as well... I find this a bit upsetting:(

Doesn't seem to be well publicised so putting it here in case folk missed it.
Let's get vaccinated so this f*cking curfew goes away :)
Salut,

Merci.
There are lots of walk-in spots for the 45+ AstraZeneca vaccination at the Palais du Congres. Like 0 waiting time availability.
They are open until 8pm tonight
Took just over an hour to get my AstraZeneca vaccine this morning at Palais de Congrès:
All done!!!!!
Was walking my dog an hour ago and came across a small, white dead dog washed up on the shore behind Palais Royale (small beach by where all those rock n roll inspired murals painted on plywood are). Maybe you or someone you know lost their dog? I have a phone pic I didn't want to upload here. I've already called 311.
