A list of puns related to "Nibs"
This is a Factory Sealed NIB Pun Pun and shoot by Coarse. It's a NYCC exclusive. Would like a comparable NIB coarse figure but am open to other designer toy offers. In Northern NJ, close to NYC for anyone interested in a in person meetup instead of trade via mail.
Hello,
I was kind of curious about trying out a Japanese brand because of the nibs. I hear Japanese nibs tend to run thinner than other brands. Could someone describe the differences in nibs re: writing experience for these three brands? I was thinking about buying a cheap low-end pen from each brand to compare the nibs.
I'm looking for a nib that can write a thin line, still write wet and shiny (Diamine Ink), and also is stiff and gives you feedback when you write. Do any of these brands fit the bill?
I was reorganizing my inks over the holidays and found four bottles of Lamy Petrol that I didn't even know I had. Since I'm not even 10% through my current bottle I thought it would be better to let these go to someone who would actually use them. All four bottles have never been opened, and were stored out of sunlight in a temperature controlled room.
I'm asking $60 shipped within the USA per bottle, limit of 1 bottle per person. I want to make these available to as many people as possible. Thanks for looking!

Update: all 4 sold, thanks everyone!
So.. this is weird, but I had this kokuno I loved, I got a bit curious and as it always happens, curiosity killed the bun, I tried the paper bag trick on my kokuno, and although i technically made it smoother, it made it very draggy, like i'm writing with rubber? no scratch no feedback, but a bit of friction.
I thought it's paper fibers etc but it was clean, so thinking that my phone has a fancy gorilla glass I thought I try rubbing it there despite the very smooth surface of glass .
and what do you know, 2 words on the screen and now it writes perfect! like better than my any other pen! I love the feel! just 2 8 figures drawn with my orating the pen every so slightly with no pressure made it even nicer.
Keep in mind, A) I'm no engineer sadly B) Case sample of just 2 pens (i tried another one and it was nicer! tho not as much as this) and all these. it might also somehow hurt your pen maybe.
it's just worth a try on a cheap pen maybe! and use a mirror or some other glass surface, I used my phone because i know gorilla glass is hard! then again if it does scratch your phone, it'l not only look ugly but increase chances of cracking on drop
Hi all! I'm fairly new to fountain pens (and Reddit, made an account today to post for the first time) and was wondering if anyone could give recommendations for a fountain pen with a smooth EF nib.
I have the Pilot Kakuno (EF) and Pilot Metropolitan (F). My handwriting is quite small, so the fine nib makes my writing look feel/look cramped; I much prefer the width of the extra fine nib, but the Kakuno's is so scratchy. I'm looking for something smoother, but around that width.
I've been eyeing the Pilot Vanishing Point / Decimo and the Sailor Pro Gear Slim (not sure which nib sizes)... Someone recently recommended me the Kaweco Supra EF. Would love to hear others' recommendations and/or input on these! Recommendations can be any price as I'm trying to get a sense of the general best options.
Thank you all in advance!
