Has anyone in here tried Nick Beggs intro in this song( it’s what convinced me to order a bass). Still waiting on my bass to arrive and know it will probably take a while to learn it 😂 saw some guys cover it on YouTube. Just curious if any of you had tried it. And wondering what y’all’s favorite riffs are?

Looking for 6 lost Kajagoogoo/Art Nouveau songs

Looking for lost Kajagoogoo songs from an album released in 2004 titled “Art Nouveau Live.” The album was only available to purchase on the Kajagoogoo website, the album consisted of songs before Limahl joined the group. Most of the album is on YouTube, except for 6 songs. Since most of these songs are available on YouTube, I had hopes that I would be able to track these down by myself. However, I have exhausted most options. I contacted one of the owners of the KajaFax fan page as well as one of the members of the band. The KajaFax’s owners apartment burned down and he lost most of his collection, and now he doesn’t seem to reply to me. I contacted Stuart Neale, and he said the quality of the songs is too poor for release, however they might release another limited edition Art Nouveau LP, but that was up to the publishers. I emailed the publishers to no response. I’m hoping that this will gain some traction as Kajagoogoo is one of the greatest one hit wonders of the 80s. The missing songs are called:

Kajagoogoo is a band from the 1980s mostly remembered for their hit song “Too Shy.” What many people don’t know is that before Limahl joined the band, the rest of the group were in a band called Art Nouveau which only had one official 7” release, “Fear Machine.” Many other songs of theirs have come up online but there are several missing off of a bootleg album that contains the other songs that are online. I’ve tried getting in contact with Limahl, Nick Beggs, Stuart Neale, Steve Askew and Jez Strode, with only getting a response that Stuart is working on a new album at the moment and Steve sent back a link to a new record that has 5 Art Nouveau songs. These songs are called “Lotta Nothing, Bingo Tonight, All Night Operator, The Wrapping Pigeon Molestors, Proliferation, Nouveau Rock n’ Roll.” Considering how Kajagoogoo is a mostly forgotten band, and Art Nouveau was local to the Leighton Buzzard area, it might be naive to believe we can find these songs, but with 9 other songs from the album being online, I’m hoping we can find these tracks from a criminally underrated band.

This 4 track EP was released in 2007, only two songs cannot be found, “Death Defying Headlines” and “High Life”

I contacted the members of the band, and they said they didn’t want to release it as the quality was too poor, but seeing as how this is an unofficial release with all of the other songs on YouTube, they have to be out there. I also contacted the man who posted the songs on YouTube, but he unfortunately lost most of his collection in a fire. I posted something similar like this to the lost media subreddit to no avail.
