Seems like a good opportunity to get some socially distanced music in the bandshell this summer.
Last summer, New west orchestra used to practice (Tuesday or Wednesday evenings) and it really added to the park.
Some dude would play metal on his axe (with amp) Friday evenings as well. He was entertaining.
Be nice to get some acoustic bands/soloists playing this year in the evenings.
Park is huge.
Hi y'all! My friend tasked me with finding an outdoor dining spot we could go to for her birthday near the Prospect Park bandshell (free outdoor comedy show there after), but it's projected to rain. Anyone know of restaurants with tents/umbrellas for rain in the area? This is hard to find online!

I have a fleeting memory as a child of a bandshell (sort of like the one in Gage Park) tucked away into the back left corner of the Dundas Driving Park (might’ve been green or blue). This isn’t a figment of my imagination, right? I’ve scoured the internet for pictures but most search results just bring me to info about the new bandstand/bandshell.
Bonus: if it does exist... does anyone have any pictures of it? (Thanks for indulging me.)
I just stopped by the park to catch a few pokémon on a walk tonight and noticed a group of kids chilling at the park in the Bandshell too. I've been hearing kids hang out there most evenings throughout the summer (which is cool It's nice place to hang out)
But tonight I heard one or two of them had the very distinctive dry persistent cough that is absolutely characteristic of Corona virus. This is not the time of year when people get colds or the flu and given the prevalence of the virus in our community I think it is prudent to assume that at least one of these kids was actively infected with COVID-19.
If one of those kids had it the other 6 to 10 of them have likely been exposed or maybe infected themselves.
I'm mostly posting this because I hope that the friends or family of one of them see this and make sure everyone in this circle of friends (and their families) is safe and can get tested.
Get the shot in the dark but I figured that it's worth the possibility of helping somebody out no matter how remote that possibility is.
