Joe Russo of the filmmaker duo Russo Brothers, recently opened up about their upcoming show Citadel. The Amazon Prime show is reportedly a spy-thriller and stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in lead roles. Citadel is the flagship show, which will launch three spin-offs or sister shows in Italy, India and Mexico. In India, the show will be directed by Raj and DK of The Family Man fame. In a recent interview, Russo spilled some details about the project that has been kept under the wraps.
In between nights at the Best Buy Theater, this Phil Lesh and Friends trio set up for a guerrilla jam session in sunny Sheep’s Meadow. This was Krasno’s first time playing with Phil and he really brought the goods. The whole show gives off heavy jazz vibes, and even though they start slowly, before you know it they’ve tossed you into a psychedelic blender and hit the switch. The crisp pace and musicianship of this one make it a real blast- imagine stumbling across this during a walk in the park!

Been a while! I was super busy with a lot of changes happening in my life and took a break from streaming. Now that I’m all moved into my new place and have my computer/stream setup back up and running, I figured today would be a great day to get back at it!
Every Thursday, I host my “Transcendent Thursdays” stream on my Twitch Channel. We do Grateful Dead tribute bands, as well as Dead offshoots and other jambands (Umphrey’s, WSP, etc).
Stream starts up around 7PM EST and music starts usually around 7:05-7:10. I have the music hooked up to a really cool visualizer and I usually put myself in the bottom corner. People come in and we just hang out, chat about the music, tour stories, and anything/everything under the sun. We have a lot of fun!
Tonight’s show will feature Joe Russo’s Almost Dead at the Peach Music Festival from this past July. I was at this show! And maybe it was the “vitamins” or the fact that I was there that’s driving my bias, but I truly believe this is one of the best shows they ever played - absolutely up there with Night 1 Lockn’ 2016!!! Don’t want to miss this soundboard recording (not found on Archive yet)!
