A list of puns related to "Igcse"
Hi everyone,
We, the moderators of r/IGCSE would like to congratulate all of you who have completed your IGCSE/O Level exams and have received your results today.
This megathread is to provide a central location to discuss your expectations for results day and what results which you get on the day itself.
The results for IGCSE/O Level examinations for the October/November 2021 series will be released on:
The results are usually collected by logging in to the online portal below:
Some schools do not provide login details so they will provide you with an Electronic Statement of Results sheet with your results on the day itself.
Good luck!
3 days left till results day, how are yall feeling?
Hey guys, I'm incredibly stressed with my application to LSE sociology. I achieved 5 in English Language and English Literature; their course requires a minimum of 6 or B in IGCSE English. I wasn't able to achieve a high grade in English lang&Lit since I wasn't a fluent native speaker when I took my IGCSEs. However, I achieved an A* in Mathematics and As in other IGCSEs. I also have a great personal statement and a high predicted IB score which meets their entry requirement.

Please tell me if these 5 in IGCSE English will make them reject my offer; thank you very much!
6 More Days till I get my results and I find myself nervous each day as we get closer ๐
First of all, I would like to congratulate all of you on your results!!! Theyโre fantastic! Does anyone know when Cambridge will tell us the top in the world or top in country list? Thank you:) (99% chem, 98% physics)

The link above has the paper 43 and solutions/answers to the questions (which I wrote) and itโs not official by cie. I asked other people about the answers to questions for ones I didnโt know/wasnโt sure about. Also, I do not have any other papers of this series yet and I found this paper on an IGCSE discord server that someone posted. I can confirm itโs the real paper as I sat this paper.
Edit: There is an error with question 3(c) (iii) which I will change now. Please let me know if there is any other errors in my solutions guys and I will update them

Hello all. So due to personal reasons, in case I need to go back to my country(Egypt) and I'm here in (UAE), but I already finished my IGCSEs. Meaning if I go there I'll take AS and A levels(I think that's how it goes). Now what are the things to consider? Will I have to repeat anything/year? Does the variant matter? If you have anything else to provide tell me. Thanks a lot in advance.
https://chlorynibgeo.wixsite.com/notes hihi i uploaded my notes for igcse history 0470 and geography 0460! they're publicly accessible and free of charge, hope you find them useful
anddd for any of you advancing to IB i've also uploaded some IB notes there too, with more to be added over time :)

Personally thought it was horrible.
oh my lord. to the people who wrote exams on oct/nov how yall feeling and what results are you expecting?
on my side i fucked some papers but not sure if the threshold will really save me. but i think i did ok lol
pretty nervous af cuz my parents are expecting really high results from me and i'm just on the edge tbh. was glad that we finished the exams but now as the result day is approaching i don't feel great at all lmao
Please don't send in any links, I just want your raw, biased opinions. And feel free to throw in any helpful information about these standardized tests, as my knowledge on them is mediocre. Do you feel like the syllabi taught by Cambridge will be of use on these tests?
I am mostly looking for chemistry, biology, computer science, ict and environmental management. Thanks in advance !
i pick my subjects next month and im p much set on everything except this. which is better to take, for who and why? and (generally speaking) if i take business can i take econ at a level at my schools sixth form ?
Hi! I'm a Year 13 student studying Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. I was born in England, and lived here from birth, to the end of Year 7. I then attended an international school in an African country, and completed my GCSEs there. I then moved back to the UK, and enrolled in sixth form. I have a few questions.
Will the fact that I did IGCSEs over regular GCSEs affect my university applications?
Will I be awarded home fee status, or international fee status?
Will I be allowed to take out student loans?
Hi ! Iโm tracking my uOttawa application and it shows that itโs incomplete I sent my school transcript , I saw that I need to upload my final certificates but when I go to uDocs itโs giving me the option to upload โTranscript for IGCSE and AS or A levelโ ? Am I supposed to scan these certificates into one and send them as a Transcript ? Pls help
I got 5 A*, 1A, 3B and 1C
How good are they?
Title. I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me feedback and the marks I would get for each question. Thanks!
What did u guys think of the paper?
So I started my A levels last year August. I have done one term so far Iโve adjusted quite well and have been averaging with As and Bs in tests. I keep getting sad and anxious about my IGCSEs though. I wrote my IGCSEโs in 2020 and that was a rough year for me, thus, I didnโt perform very well and got average grades. I got 2 Bs, 2 Cs and 2 Ds. I took up two A level subjects where I got the Bs in and one new one I hadnโt taken. I feel Iโll pass my year 12 exams this year because Iโve been consistently doing very well but I keep getting down thinking despite my A levels my IGCSEโs will hinder me and bring issues when applying to university. So should I rewrite them this year in October/November after my AS exams ??

Hi, I know I'm overreacting but like I only have 4 months left for My IGCSE and I'm not all prepared and I've already predicted that I'll not get great marks, I couldn't decide whether I should take extended or Core, since you know family pressure, I had to take extended for physics mathematics, chemistry and biology. Now I've to give my EVM, Hindi, and English exam next month, and I'm totally not prepared for English and EVM . However, I've decided to to start studying now 3 exam for Feb/March and 5 in May/June. Dealing with ADHD is just getting more difficult for me. With all the pressure from school and Home is just draining me. However I'll continue to do A levels after this. Also this question rose in my mind after reading some thing. I know this was too much, but please don't come at me for being so stupid. Also do you think 4 months enough to complete the portion and still get good marks.
Any help would be a genuine life-saver.
Here is the case study and here is the mark scheme.
1b). Consider the following three problems for SSM when entering markets in other countries.
Which problem is likely to have the most effect on SSM? Justify your answer. [12]
โข Cultural differences
โข Lack of knowledge
โข Import restrictions
Cultural differences: Cultural differences could affect SSMโs sales as other countries may prefer to use bars of soap or liquid soap to wash their clothes instead of soap powder. Hence, SSM could see lower sales which could lead to lower profit margins. However, many countries use washing machines these days and SSM should not be affected too much as their soap is used in washing machines and not used directly on clothes.
Lack of knowledge: A lack of knowledge may result in SSM having to conduct market research to figure out what prices customers want to pay, prices customers charge for soap etc. which can increase costs and delay production. Hence, SSM will have less capital to actually promote their product. This is further exacerbated by the fact that they have cash flow problems and may not be able to afford such large expenditures. However, SSM should be able to create a joint venture or use an agent which will already have information about the target market and can help bridge the gap.
Import restrictions: Import restrictions such as tariffs and quotas will increase import costs and outright limit the amount of soap supplies they can import into the new country. Hence, they may have to buy soap supplies from domestic producers which may charge a premium price, thus leading to higher variable costs of production.
Conclusion: Lack of knowledge will affect SSM the most. While SSM can enter the market with a joint venture, they will have to share their profits with the other business. Hence, resulting in lower profits received from the expansion. Cultural differences should not affect them too much as clean clothes are essentially a necessity and demand for soap powder will virtually exist in every country. Import restrictions may not affect them too much either as they are a well known public limited company and may be able to negotiate with the government to ease import restrictions.

How did everyone find it?
Hi, I'm giving my IGCSE for 5 Subjects.Physics (Extended) Maths (Extended) Chemistry (Extended) Biology (Extended) Travel and Tourism. I exactly have 4 months. And I haven't started preparing yet. Can you give some sources or tips as to how should I prepare for these subjects. I'm actually really tensed about and think that I don't enough time to prepare.
my school hasnโt finished the syllabus and im really nervous for my exams. i have my mocks in a month or so. do you have any tips other than do past papers?
Does anyone know where to find past papers for 2020 or 2021?
Sometimes when I write recommend questions, I don't have enough space with the allotted lines. Can I continue my answers in the blank page as long as I clearly indicate with some star or symbol and the question number?
