Cycling in Wiltshire (Salisbury area)
I'm moving to the Salisbury area from the Kent coast. I've explored most of Kent by bike, mainly on road with the occasional off-road sections. Apart from the M20 and A2, I've found most of it relatively nice to cycle, especially the North Downs and coastal regions. What can I expect from Wiltshire?
There seem to be more A roads between the towns which look unrideable - are there enough country lanes to make getting around possible? Any tips or suggestions? Also, good bike shops in Salisbury and environs would be good to know.

More than heat series by John Wiltshire is unlike anything I've read in a long time
Thanks to whoever recommended John wiltshire as an author. I was starting to think there were no more good authors of mm.Β Glad to know I was wrong. I'm on the 6th book in the more than heat series and I'm still not bored. I just love his dry sense of humor which shows in his books. Great writing, solid plot, the dialogue and banter between the two main characters, and such well rounded characters. Such an exceptionally well written story.

Where should I (24M) move to in Wiltshire
Ive been promoted and will have to move from Coventry to Wiltshire with a job based in Pewsey. At the moment I'm torn between a short commute and living in a local market town or commuting 40 odd mins each way to live in a bigger town like Swindon or Salisbury.
What would you suggest? I'm 24 and won't know anyone and will be moving to manage the site so won't be able to make friends with my colleagues easily.
Any help is appreciated!
