A list of puns related to "Corsham"
Hey fellow explorersππ I've been a photographer and an explorer for about 10 years now. one of my dreams is to find the red door to burlington bunker, Corsham, or actually get inside the bunker. Is there anyone that would want to either come with me or point me in the right direction? I understand it can be sketchy as I've been caught twice before trying to get in. Any help to help me fulfill my exploring dream would be amazing ππ
Going there now. I will keep you updated.
I saw this on a facebook post where someone successfully got a jab from here early.
Hi, I'm a recent sign up here looking to branch out into IF after a few years writing novels and short stories and I'd like to request some test run throughs of my first IF; The Corsham Witch Trial.
It's a procedural crime story featuring two paralegals discussing an old case file. Within said file are court transcripts, statements and official documents relating to the disappearance of a vulnerable girl. The reader examines the different files and selects viewpoints for discussion with their more experienced colleague responding as they get closer to the truth.
Really happy to do swaps if anyone is looking for testers of their own IF/games/stories. Please get in touch with any comments and feedback as I look to improve and hone the user experience. Feedback is good here or on itch (where the game is currently hosted).
All information is summarized from the first issue of DEK Magazine. I highly suggest picking it up, as there are tons of details and exclusive photographs I haven't mentioned or shown.
As commonly believed, "LEON" (presumably the leaked suites) was the original version of 1.Outside that was rejected for being too inaccessible. The photo shoots were envisioned based on Bowie's concepts for LEON, not 1.Outside, and the actual shoot marked the first time where the crew heard the final released version.
A more "sinister" and disturbed version of Algeria Touchshriek was displayed by Bowie, yet limitations in post-production technology prevented it from coming to fruition in the final artwork.
Bowie's original artistic vision was much more "gruesome" than portrayed, and the "least challenging" photographs were picked for use on the final album.
...real animal entrails and organs were used for the "Slab Man" shot (pictured left - NSFW), and the poor "Man" in-question was the same actor who portrayed the Minotaur. According to the crew, the offal was left to rot at room temperature days before being utilized and left a lingering stench in the studio even after the "Slab Man" shot was concluded.
The above linked "Slab Man" image actually portrays a character known as "Tank Girl" who was specifically created during the shoot and doesn't feature in the narrative. Due to assistant Valentina Primoli's blue dreadlocks and orange jumpsuit, her "striking appearance" made such an impact on Bowie that he insisted on featuring her in the artwork. NOTE: Davide De Angelis does not address the contradictory text within the art linking this character to Chris Burden, a real performance artist who is referenced in the diary. It is highly likely that "Tank Girl" was retconned into Burden late into post-production in order to have all art reflect characters mentioned in the linear notes, AKA the diary.
Leon Blank was originally much more "battered and bruised" than portrayed in the final art, and even had a bloodied bandage wrapped around his right hand. The goggles conceal some of this bruising in some of the final shots of the character.
As stated before, please support DEK Magazine for their extensive research into an oft-overlooked period in Bowie's career. There are many more details about the sessions, the pr
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello, I'm moving from the south coast to the area soon and am looking at Bath, Corsham and BoA as places to live.
I wonder if anyone has any experience they can call on to help me?
I work as a freelancer and got some good advice about working from the Guildhub in Bath in another thread (thanks for that that Bath Reddit!). I'm just weighing up if I should live out of town.
I like Corsham a lot, but it looks a bit too sleepy. I'm in my early thirties and am a bit torn between the nice town life of Corsham and something a bit more lively like Bath. I think my main worry would be that it would be lonely in Corsham with the only activity sinking down pints down one of the pubs. However, it is a bit more convenient for proximity to some family.
Has anyone made the transition from one to the other? How did they find it?
Apologies for a bit of a wooly, how-long-is-a-piece-of-string question, but I hope it's enough to get some classic Reddit wisdom. Any pointers appreciated. Ta
