Whatβs the difference between Hoisin Sauce and Kecap Manis?
Hi all,
I was planning on making Nasi Goreng but I forgot to buy Kecap Manis at the supermarket. Is it okay to substitute it with Hoisin sauce? What are the differences between the two?

Its all random but I have white rice vinegar, Sesame oil, worcestershire sauce, Oyster Sauce and Hoisin Sauce that I hardly ever used. I love all types of dishes, do you have any recommandation that has at least one of those ingredients? Thanks :)

My Dinner: 1 nest of Rice Noodles (160cal), 7 Itsu Vegetable Gyoza(168cal), Broccoli 110g (38cal), Blue Dragon Sweet Hoisin Sauce (80cal). Surprisingly filling and so simple and easy to cook as the gyoza and vegetables are steamed and the noodles are soaked in water! 450cals total.

[Day 18 of posting pics of Milo] Today I decided to make Peking Duck for dinner. I started by covering the duck with honey and then I dryaged it for 7 h. Then I put it in the oven and served with mandarin pancakes, leek and hoisin sauce. I forgot to take a pic of the food but I would post it too.

Does anyone else make these. Calories about 650. It makes a great hearty dinner with lots of vegetables and brown rice. The recipe is made with turkey, carrots, onions, ginger, garlic, low sodium soy salt, avocado oil, sesame and hoisin sauce. Drizzle sriracha on top. Serve with iceberg lettuce.

Looking for a stir fry noodle sauce recipe that isn't based on soy/hoisin sauce
I want to make chicken chow mein tomorrow, but all the recipes I can find are based on soy/hoisin, and I'm already making a beef side dish based on a soy/hoisin marinade, and so are the egg rolls too, and I don't want everything on the plate to taste the same so I'm hoping there is some sort of delicious noodle recipe out there somebody knows about that goes in a different direction to provide some variety. Basically we are just stir frying ramen noodles, cabbage, mushrooms, and peppers and need a sauce to mix into it.

Sauteed left over chicken, oyster mushrooms, full garlic cloves and sprouts in a garlic hoisin/ miso sauce. Put that over some sticky rice with a fried egg season with itlaiano seasoning and my current obsession "crispy anchovy chilli sauce". And an ice cap to wash it all down.

Hi everyone! Iβm hoping to make a dish tonight with hoisin sauce as the main flavor, but the only brand I could find near me is one that really is not of good quality (Dynasty). I canβt quite describe it, it just tastesβ¦. off. It doesnβt taste like Lee Kum Kee, for example.
