The more I think about it, the more I think Neil was just too much of a wuss to suggest anything different. He'd view it as "acting macho" and relentlessly shame himself for "oppressing a woman" if he did that.
He's still not innocent by any means. As game director, it was his responsibility to look at things as a whole, fix plot holes and cheesy dialogue, and step in to make changes whenever the story started to feel forced and contrived. That's what Bruce did to him and his ideas during the 1st game's development, which is probably another major reason Neil let Gross go ham screwing up left and right like a complete amateur, unchecked and unchallenged. The guy pretends he's so iNtEllIgEnT, yet what he did was like letting a drunk chimpanzee color a coloring book that he *knew* he was supposed to be turning into an illustrated novel.
But yeah, back to Gross. There's just something about that chick... I wouldn't trust her (with written step by step instructions) to pack my lunch without screwing it up somehow.
Halley's Comet, on it's 1986 approach, was first observed 16 October 1982.

3- Tychosium error is:

DEC = -11Β°35'24"
4- Conclusion: RA, for you that don't know is Right Ascension, you divide a full circle into 24 (hence hours), each hour into 60 for minutes, and each minute into seconds. Something that is 12 hours different in RA is on the wrong side of the sky by 180 degrees, exactly opposite of where you expect. Tychosium is 220 degrees off (140 degrees, since a circle wraps back around).
Remember, we predicted it to within 8 arc seconds (00Β°00'08"), when we haven't seen it since 1910. This was back in the early 80's based on 76 year old observations. The people that made the observations weren't even alive, but passed down accurate enough information that we were within a gnat's ass of accuracy. You cannot visually distinguish 8 arc seconds with the naked eye. We can only distinguish down to about 1 minute of arc (~10x less accuracy), without special tools. To the naked eye, Halley's comet appeared exactly where it was calculated to show up. Tychosium would have had you looking out from the wrong side of the universe.
Take that for what it's worth.

I read the Halley's Comet chapter of The Anthropocene Reviewed yesterday. I was only 4 years old the last time the comet came around, and apparently it wasn't a great pass anyway, so I hadn't given it much thought. But when I read that it will come next in 2061, I automatically calculated how old I will be, and how old my husband will be, and then sat in silence for some time imagining us old and grey on a porch somewhere watching a comet. I *may* have teared up for a moment. When I told my husband about it later, I described it as feeling "Nostalgic... for the future?". This then nagged at me as something I'd heard before so I googled it and.... dammit John you got me twice in one day.
Anyone knows what's up with Halley's Inferno craft? I am done with Yharon already and I wanted to make Photoviscerator from spare Auric Bars and Halley's Inferno seems to not work somehow. Anyone knows what's up with this? Hero Changes
- Halley
- Soul Scythe: Summons a Soul Scythe each time a skill is used. These scythes will float across the battlefield, dealing damage to enemies. This skill is immune to Silences. Each time a Soul Scythe hits a target, it will give Halley a Death Mark. At 3 Death Marks, Halleyβs magic lifesteal is boosted and Halleyβs healing received is boosted.
- Burial: Strikes at enemies with scythe, getting a shield per target/tombstone hit. Passive effect: A tombstone must appear if a target dies. Nearby enemies take dmg if Burial hits a tombstone again. Tombstones will reduce Magic Resistance for surrounding enemies.
- Soul Eater: When casting Reap of Faith, Halley will be hidden in fog and become untargetable. AoE dmg received will be reduced, and her scythe swipes will deal an additional hit of AoE dmg. At 5 Death Marks, Halley will lock onto the lowest-HP unit on the battlefield, and any damage taken by Halley during this period will also be taken by the target. After the targeted unit dies, Halley will continue to lock onto the next-lowest-HP unit.

Furthermore, players can reduce the seven-day cooldown period by taking some in-game actions.
