I’m in a band from Montana who just did a video on top of Crane Mountain in Ferndale. Scenery of Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park in the distance. Since not everybody appreciates the beauty of the locale, figured I’d post it here. We carried a 100-year-old grand piano up to the top.

My wife and I got married in the temple and hated every weird minute of it. 5 years later, after leaving the church, we went to Glacier National Park to do a "Vow Renewal"," but really it was like a second wedding. My wife got to wear her dream dress this time. This was the wedding we always wanted.

We are headed our west this early summer. We will be around Glacier June1-9. My question is: What are the chances that the Going-to-the Sun Road will be open? How early has it opened in the past? TIA

What things are a must do around Glacier National Park?
My wife and I are planning a trip early July to Glacier National Park and are planning on spending most of are time in West Glacier. We are planning on doing some basic hikes. What should we be adding to our itinerary?

Teton National Park, Glacier National Park, Wind River Range, or elsewhere?
I am planning on doing a solo 3 or 4 day backpacking trip at the end of June / early July. I am stuck on where to go. I have never been to Glacier or the Wind River Range, and I have been to the Tetons but have never hiked there.
As of now, I am thinking of Glacier or the Tetons, but I know there is a permit process and huge crowds. I don't necessarily want to be surrounded by tourists the whole time. I have heard that the Wind River Range is more rugged and less crowded.
I am looking for a trail in the range of about 17-24 miles and not extremely difficult, as I am meeting my brother and girlfriend two days later to do a 26 miler. If you have any trail suggestions for the desired lengths that would be great.
Also, regarding the backcountry permit process: would you recommend reserving the permit in advance and for an extra fee, or is it possible to get the permit the day of or day before during the season I am planning on going.

Hoary marmots inhabit mountainous areas of the northwestern parts of North America. The word "hoary" refers to the silver-gray fur on their shoulders and upper back. While a crew was filming a time lapse of the effects of global warming in Glacier National Park, this marmot took note of the camera.
