A list of puns related to "Friability"
Greetings all!
I recently got a generic CNC 3018 from Aliexpress with no enclosure / dust management.
I want to engrave/cut 3mm acrylic panels, but realized that it produces a lot of dust. I don't have a separate garage, so the CNC would be running inside my apartment. I read that it's a health hazard to operate CNCs with highly friable materials like wood and fiberglass. However, I could not find any info on acrylic. Does it release very fine/invisible particles? Would I need an airtight enclosure with vacuum mechanisms for engraving on acrylic, or would it be OK if I have a non-airtight enclousre?
So I'm an active person and I work like hell in physical therapy to ensure that I can safely participate in my outdoor activities. Last weekend, I did a two-night 18ish mile hike. I did great and I thank my lucky stars for having a PT that goes with me on these trips but I encountered a problem I have never seen before and my PT was kind of confused as well. Overnight, my boots got wet, so I dried them as much as I could and put clean dry socks on and then put my shoes on. No problems the rest of the day until I take my shoes off and notice the sores. They don't look like blisters, it just looks like the skin got wet and then dissolved. The skin in these areas is almost macerated. Is this an EDS thing?

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.

I just read Briess' guide to malt analysis sheets and had some questions for the malt-minded.
Even after reading their description of it, I still don't really "get" what malt friability is, and what out-of-range friability values (high or low) imply. And Google wasn't much help either; can anyone help clue me in?
Ditto for mealiness & glassiness. What is a mealy or glassy malt kernel? What causes it to be that way? What impact does mealiness or glassiness have on the mash or finished product?
For turbidity it says: "this is caused by proteins and beta-glucans that have not been sufficiently degraded". What is meant by degraded? Can proteins/b-glucans be degraded during the malting process? If so, how?
Why is FAN analysis only performed on base malts, as the link explains?
Thanks in advance for any-and-all clarification and course-steering on any-and-all of these!
