A list of puns related to "Foray Into"
so for possible dissertation research i'm interested in when you first became introduced to true crime as a child, what piqued your interest and what was most memorable to you at the time. i'd love to hear your insight! any/all answers will be kept anonymous. thank you!
I'm leaning towards burnt ends. Is all beef the way to go or should I try pork as well?
There's a hot or spicy bbq sauce option...which one is recommended?
Sides, are any of them a "must-try"? I was just gonna go for a loaded baked potato.
edit: I'm going for takeout as well if that changes things.
I finally made it to a smoke shop here in Seattle to legally purchase salvia.Β My friend had only acquired it via online, and with my few experiences with the 60x, yet remarkable at doses around 50 to 100 mg, I never really broke through but got close.Β Β No big woop,Β right?
So I get my 20x for the same price that the 60x was per gram, but figured I guess the shop has to get a cut so whatever.Β Β I expected it to be 1/3 weaker than 60x, so I proceeded to load a bowl of 100 mg and figured I'll smoke half the bowl,Β wait,Β then the other half.Β Β I lit it and immediately noticed it burned a lot brighter.Β Took a pretty good hit (upon later inspection it was almost the whole bowl), held it in for about 30 seconds, started feeling it but not really that much,Β so was about to smoke the rest when all of a sudden I felt like I was getting sucked up by a vacuum feet first.Β It kept intensifying....
I was standingΒ up.Β BIG mistake.Β Β Everything around me started getting sucked up into this whatever-the-fuck, and I started panicking and desperately making my way to the couch,Β fighting against this maniacal mechanism devouring my surroundings and trying to take me!!Β I tried to speak to my girlfriend but no words could come out,Β and I grabbed onto a pole in our room because I literall felt like a tornado was pulling my body and everything in my existence into a void.Β Sally has TEETH.
I made it to the couch somehow,Β spilling bong water everywhere because I had forgotten I was even holding it, and the gears and vacuum were still everpresent.Β I felt a strong beckoning,Β to join "them", to join IT,Β my very soul was being hijacked and I was pleading to let me stay.Β I'm afraid of dying I guess,Β fuck me.Β Β I was being taken.Β Rolled up like a long carpet or rug.Β Β Everything was being rolled up and I would surely suffocate as I will be trapped inside this motherfucking HELL BURRITO that will never stop folding after I am a part of it.Β Β Just as I was about to totally lose it, I started coming "back".
Everything was still spinning and twisting,Β but my cognizance and self awareness baled me out from dropping into the abyss at the last moment.Β I had lost my mind.Β I went there.Β Β It was terrifying.Β Β Total loss of control.Β Β Maybe I'm a bit of a control freak,Β fuck me.
I could recall most of it immediately afterwards, and I scared the shit out of my gf even though I told her things could seem weird but it'll wear off.Β I wasn't expecting that much of a punch fr
... keep reading on reddit β‘In this post I am going to bring you a few selected quotes from the man who is D. T. Suzuki.
First, a little background on the man..
Daisetsu TeitarΕ Suzuki (1870β1966) was a Japanese scholar of Zen Buddhism and a Buddhist philosopher. The leading scholar of MahΔyΔna Buddhism and Japanese religion, he was instrumental in bringing Zen to America and Europe during the first half of the 20th century.
Suzuki was Professor of Buddhist Philosophy at Εtani University, KyΕto, from 1921. He was known for his fluency in English and his prolific scholarship. He wrote more than 100 books, many in an informal and understandable style appropriate to the general reader. His notable works include the hugely-influentialΒ An Introduction to Zen BuddhismΒ (1934) andΒ Zen and Japanese CultureΒ (1959)βthese two books are credited with introducing Zen Buddhism to the West.
TheΒ D. T. Suzuki MuseumΒ in Kanazawa, Japan, commemorates his life and works.
When there is no crookedness in oneβs heart, we say that one is natural and childlike.
Zen in itβs essence is the art of seeing into the nature of oneβs being, and it points the way from bondage to freedom.
Not to be bound by rules, but to be creating oneβs own rulesβthis is the kind of life which Zen is trying to have us live.
Technical knowledge is not enough. One must transcend techniques so that the art becomes an artless art, growing out of the unconscious.
Great works are done when one is not calculating and thinking.
True wisdom means the freedom from self-centeredness, for self-centeredness distorts reality.
