What's wrong with my little man? He used to be so active. I thought it was swim bladder disease so I quarantined him, fasted him for three days, gave him peas and daphnia. Anyone know how to harvest Daphnia Magna and or Moina Macropa eggs?
Hey guys I have a culture of both of these species (Daphnia Magna, Moina Macropa) going as live feed for my other tanks but I’m terrible at keeping cultures going strong long term (tho I’ve been doing good so far this go around lol) so I was thinking I would like to try and get some of each to shift to producing the eggs rather than live babies so I can hold onto them as a back up should my main culture and established back up cultures ever crash on me but I cannot seem to find any good information online on how to get them to shift to sexual reproduction to produce the eggs and how to collect said eggs after ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
