Longest Coast-able Mountain Road in the Continental U.S.?
Does anyone know where the longest coast-able paved mountain road is in the United States? Where can I take a bike get on it and make one or two good pedals and then just coast? I would never need to pedal again until I reach the end.
I’m assuming the best location would be a very high elevation but a very low slope so that the coast would last the longest time and the longest horizontal distance.
There could theoretically be a 250 mile long pad if it started around 14,000ft elevation and only lost 1ft per 100ft forward. I know this doesn’t exist but what does?
Has anyone ever tried this?

Just got home from a two week, 3500 mile trip across the west coast. Traveled highways, muddy mountain trails, sandy beaches and tons of deep snow in the Oregon Cascades. This thing kills it both on, and off road!

Snowboarding on the East Coast for the first time at Hunter Mountain; what should I expect?
Taking a day trip out from NYC to ski at Hunter this Saturday. I'm a bit worried since the only things I've seen online is on how icy the East Coast is and how crowded Hunter gets on the weekends. Also the temperature is at a high of 7 degrees F on Sat. Don't think I've ever skiied anywhere that's that cold before.
What should I expect when I'm there? I have Epic Pass (which I haven't used at all this year), so I don't want to switch resorts. Thanks!

Bi-Daily Question, Day 22: If you could change the landscape around your home to anything, without moving or altering your life really in any way, what would it change to? Coast? Mountains? Prairies?
I would want to change my location to a cliff overlooking the ocean. Whenever I visit the sea it is so fresh and calming, and the warm weather and sandy beaches are a dream to live amongst. I currently live in an already very cold and snowy climate, so mountains or more life in the icy prairies is not in the cards for me. Plus you see more shirtless guys at the beach soooooo
Jobs on west coast and mountain west…do they exist/are they decent? Are you working one?
Are you working on the west coast or mountain west in a decent job? I keep hearing these areas are “hostile” to CRNAs overall/have more physician/AA only situations but it’s hard to get an accurate read.

Where do I go from here? I finished with the landmass, and I am pretty happy with the shape of it. For a frame of reference, this is supposed to be an Island that is Not-Britain off the coast of Not-Europe. The only thing that I marked off were some mountain ranges, but those aren't set in stone.

Thoughts and ideas on multi-family summer trip from East Coast to the Mountains, Colorado ? Other Places ?
My oldest daughter in FL with three kids wants to join wife and me (older with two kids in NC) for big trip to the mountains. We have a hybrid and a truck and we camp a lot. She is looking at renting a class C with her husband.
Initially she wanted to go to the iconic places, Yellowstone, or Grand Canyon. I'm thinking post-covid pent-up demand they will be insanely crowded and a longer drive.
I'm also thinking that none of our kids have seen real mountains, just the kind of dispersed wilderness camping that's available west of the Mississippi will be enough of a thrill, as well as doing it together.
I picked Denver at random, there's Pikes Peak, fossil beds national monument and I'm sure other stuff that would be very cool for kids who grew up in Florida and North Carolina.
But this is a bare canvas, I'd love any ideas or suggestions people have.

What are some good longish or long backpacking trails in the Coast Mountain Range that isn't packed with tourists like in Squamish area. Is there nice scenic trails in Bella Coola, Lilloeet, Pemberton Meadows region?

Looking for solid large homes, castles, manors, estates, forts, etc in the north. Seems like most homes are in the warmer climates like the Rift and Whiterun.

I'm in Florida (east coast) and somehow East servers are the 2nd worst connection on the list. I also noticed that both west and east servers for NW show a server time 2 hours behind mine, meaning they're in the Mountain time zone right next to West. Are the East servers not even on the East coast?

I am from the States in Florida dreaming of snow. I saw an incredible video on YouTube that takes place in BC. The riders say they are in NW BC near the Alaska border. I am guessing it is the Coast Mountains. They are completely covered in deep, powdery snow. Can anyone guess where this video was shot?
