TIL St. Valentine is also the patron saint of epilepsy. To this day, a special ceremony where children are given small golden keys to ward off epilepsy is held at the Oratorio di San Giorgio, a small chapel in Monselice, Padua, on 14 February each year.

Went to a LDS chapel and saw this depressing display. For some reason I found it funny because I pictured old Rusty going into the chapel, tearing everything from the board and then just putting a solitary picture of him there. βMuch betterβ he says, standing on pictures of Jesus torn up.

Gigantic property not too far off the expressway, also has a lot of retail by it, something could survive there... right?

Saint Kinga's Chapel, located 1,000 ft underground in the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Wieliczka, Poland. Carved entirely out of rock salt, including the sculptures, furniture, even chandeliers use rock salt crystals. This is 1 of 4 chapels in an entire underground church dating back to the Middle Ages.

Julius II (1503-1513). He founded the Swiss Guard and commissioned the Sistine Chapel. He was known for having a βviolent temperβ and treated the people who worked for him very badly. He also apparently didnβt have a sense of humour and didnβt crack many jokes.

Making open house invitations look too fancy, wearing a hat indoors during chapel cleaning...? What was the stupidest thing you were rebuked publicly by a priesthood holder wielding his authority in front of others for?
So, this is probably not the stupidest but just one that came to my mind...
On my mission we were teaching English to a computer technology/copy center company. It dropped during one of our sessions that our church was holding an open house for a new chapel that had been built and that we needed to make invitations for it. We asked them if they'd be able to print them and described what we wanted and they agreed. We also agreed on a price for the black & white invitations printed on regular white printer paper - 4 invitations per page. As a thank you, when we returned the following week, the company and its employees had drafted our request and surprised us with color invitations on nicer paper at no additional cost!!! We were ecstatically grateful.
However at zone conference a few weeks later the mission president got up in front of everybody and said that Elder AlaskanThinker "had need to repent" because he'd wasted the Lord's money on extravagant invitations to an open house...
Sometimes you just can't win...
