Has anyone else bolused and accidentally hit β€œunits” instead of β€œgrams”?

I’m a new Tandem pump user and I’ve accidentally given myself 15 units of insulin when I thought I hit 15 grams. It seems like it’s a simple enough mistake to make, and I’ve fixed it by adjusting the max bonus not to be so high, but just want the validation that this isn’t just me! Seems like there should be a simpler solution….

Why is it so common to refer to the weight of trees in 2 different systems of units? IE: Gram-Metric, Ounce-Imperial

Most places seem to sell weed by divisions of an ounce: an eigth, a quarter, half. These are Imperial units, but when they get to smaller amounts they switch to grams.

This seems strange because there is already a comparably small unit in the Imperial system. 1/16th of an ounce(~1.8grams) in the Imperial unit system is called a dram. Beyond that people could just say they want a" sixteenth", which has the same amount of syallables as a "quarter".

But of course you don't ever see drams/sixteenth's available. Nobody posts pictures with a title like: me and my fat 2 dram blunt(just thinking about saying that sounds silly). On the other hand, grams are available everywhere, (albeit a totally different measuring system).

Further gram and kilogram are the only units from the metric system that I hear used when I hear people talk about weed. I have never ever heard of someone picking up a Dekagram(10 grams) or a hectogram(100 grams).

I mean I don't really mind the way weed is measured in subdivisions of ounces, I just wonder how exactly it became so commonplace to use 2 different unit systems(gram and ounce mainly) for measuring the weight of weed.
