Disappointing news today. Not only does Cedric leaving suck for the quality of the operation but he also states that SCG isn't planning to go back to the way things were pre pandemic. Big blow to east coast people who liked having options for big competitive eternal events.

Családi filmnézés gyanánt három napja csak a Harry Potter filmeket néztük, de annyi feloldatlan kérdés van, hogy most újra nekiveselkedek a könyvek elolvasásának.
Addig is csak egy szösszenet:
Amikor Harry fejére került a teszlek süveg, vívódott, hogy a mardekárba tegye-e, végül Potter overideolta, ezzel magát a griffendélbe hackelte.
Oké ez így történt, nincsenek kérdések.
Vajon mi történt Cedric esetében?
A srác, a hugrabug prefektusa, azaz folyosó felügyelő okoska varázsló, a kviddics csapatuk kapitánya, a Tűz serlegének eredeti egész roxfortos bagázs közül kiválasztott bátor bajnoka.
Mit keres a hugrabugban? A sémák szerint a griffendélbe kerülnek a bátor jófiúk, igazságért önérzeteskedők, a varázslók krémje. A hollóhátba az okos, de kimért, szociálisan a kockák szintjén lévő népség. Mardekárba a rosszfiúk és a hugrabugba a krumplitermesztők, az npc-k.
A feltevésem szerint Cedricnél (hasonlóképp Harry esetéhez), fennált a süveg dillemája csak Diggory elfogadta a felkínált ajánlatot, miszerint kerülhet a griffendélbe és besimulhat a többi hősjelölt közé középszerű életet élni, vaaagy a hugrabugba kerül ahol az élen vezéregyéniségként még sokra viheti.
És nem övé az egyetlen karakter ahol érdemes lehet elgondolkodni a történet szerint miért az adott házba került az illető. Ron, Piton, Hagrid, Hermione, stb mind megkérdőjelezhető jellemük alapján miért oda kerültek ahova.

If Cedric Diggory was still alive during the entire graveyard scene and then returned to Hogwarts with Harry and alive, what would be the different in the final books?
Give your opinions, please.
These are the facts as the aurors know them:
- At 6:37 PM, Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory departed the maze via portkey to an unknown destination.
- At 7:24 PM, Durmstrang Headmaster Igor Karkarov was seen departing the judges booth for an unknown location before shortly disapparating.
- At 8:19 PM, Harry Potter is portkeyed to the champions stand along with the body of Cedric Diggory
- Forensic Examination of Diggory’s body shows that he died of the killing curse
- Medical examination of Mr. Potter shows exposure to the cruciatus curse, acromantula bites, a knife wound on the left arm by the inner elbow, and dementor exposure.
- Due to the advanced injuries and dementor exposure contaminating any testimony, testimony was not taken from Mr. Potter.
- As per standard investigative procedures, all wands of the champions were checked with Prior Incantatum. Potter, Diggory and Delacour’s wands showed nothing out of the ordinary. Krum’s wand showed that he had cast the cruciatus curse.
DMLE conclusion:
Igor Karkarov was angered that Hogwarts had circumvented the rules to enter two champions, and instructed Krum to win by any means necessary.
As headmaster to one of the school’s competing, he used his access to modify the portkey on the championship trophy to send the champion to a secondary location.
When Mr. Krum encountered Ms. Delacour in the maze, he placed her under the cruciatus in order to prevent her from reaching the cup.
When Potter and Diggory reached the cup, they tripped the portkey, sending it to Karkarov’s secondary location, likely alerting Karkarov through an alert charm.
Once Karkarov confirmed that his portkey had been triggered, and that Krum was still in the maze, he departed Hogwarts and disapparated to his secondary location.
Upon reaching it, he killed Mr. Diggory, and attempted to kill Potter, but failed to do so, instead briefly placing him under the cruciatus curse. Mr. Potter disarmed Karkarov, whereupon he rearmed himself with a standard silver potion knife, which he briefly used in an altercation with Mr. Potter, wounding him on the left inner elbow.
It was at this point that Mr. Potter disarmed Karkarov again, retrieved Mr. Diggory’s body, and used the portkey in the championship trophy to return to Hogwarts.
