A list of puns related to "Butch Walker"
I read somewhere that Billie said he was excited to get back in the studio with Butch Walker [this was in the last few months so well after FOA] and it just infuriates me that they are that blind to how bad the music is when they collaborate. It's extremely disrespectful to me as a fan to actually hear what they've put out the last couple of years.
Regardless of whether you think this album is terrible or not, I have not heard anyone give this any high praise in any way. It's almost like it means something... All I want is to hear my favorite band make some actual music.
And if you're that one guy who always whines about them needing to grow and evolve as artists, I agree with you, but when you evolve into the same sound and style of every garbage pop record it's a different story. I don't know how these guys legitimately think it's okay to treat their fans like this, it's actually pitiful. They feel like one of the most washed-up bands I've seen from a creative perspective and it hurts so much to see because I know they have it in them somewhere.
I just wish they would play their instruments like they are professionals again, hear some decent lyrics again, maybe actually prove to the world that you aren't the old washed-up rock stars that everyone sees on the outside. They need an indie producer, someone that will actually push their musical boundaries instead of pushing that terrible sound that Butch Walker made. I'd personally love to see Zac Carper try to do something with them, but we'll just have to see what happens in the near future.
Let me know your guys' thoughts

He produced Father of All Motherfuckers and it's supposed that he will produce the next Green Day album too. Personally i don't enjoy him so much in FOAM beacuse of its poppier sound. He also produced Raditude of Weezer which is their worst record in my opinion, for its poppy sound as well. What you guys think about this?
Imo father of all is the worst green day album and a big reason for that is the production because on almost EVRY FUKIN SONG on the album thereβs shitty handclaps that just piss me off whenever i hear em, and i fee butch was the one saying they should have that many handclaps. And i was fine with it on the title track but after awhile when listening to the album i dont even hear drums anymore i just hear ππ,ππ
Hello! This is my first time posting and Iβm on mobile, so if Iβve broken any rules I apologize in advance!!
After the release of WUS I went and played it for my dad and we had a great conversation about ATL and bands of the same sound. I grew up on bands like Green Day and Sum41 since thatβs what my dad listened to, so I always love sharing ATL stuff with him because I know heβll love it.
In our conversation, he brought up the name Butch Walker and asked if it sounded familiar at all. At that moment it didnβt, but he explained that Walker was in music and produced now and his stuff always had a really similar sound to ATL stuff. So I looked it up and, as some of you probably already know, discovered that Walker produced multiple tracks with ATL on NP and DW!
So then my dad played me the song Freak of the Week from Walkerβs band Marvelous 3 and I was digging it until it got to the chorus and a million light bulbs went off in my head. The chorus starts off with the same vocal note progression as Sick Little Games!! Like, almost exactly the same progression all the way down, same key and everything, but Sick Little Games is just slowed down like thirty clicks. The best part is that Walker was the producer on Sick Little Games.
I thought that the coincidence was super interesting and we had fun going back and forth between the two songs listening to the similarities in the notes, yet how the songs had completely different vibes.
I totally recommend checking out both songs side by side! Wanted to share because I thought the connection was interesting. If you know any other cool song connections like this definitely let me know!
You can check it out on his instagram account, the announcement is this. Also, Kerrang! just said there's no new Green Day music coming on July 19th

Has anybody heard anything about the second album in addition to "American Love Story"? I remember him mentioning it during an interview briefly but nothing since. Any info??
