Hello everyone!
Just wanted to share my character prints/paints with you all. There are 2 different versions of both as I got a new printer and some classes have changed throughout the campaign I play in.
I am glad I found this sub. For a long while I have been intentionally directing my thought and focus inward and to my intellect instead of outward and to my emotions. I feel it has made me more objective, clinical and detached. I am not sure if I really want to open myself back up because it hurts so damn much and is really really overwhelming. A very common and recurring example is that when I talk to people I try my damndest to look everywhere but at them (esp. their eyes) not because of self consciousness but because once that connection is made I will get rapt in having seen them and loose my train of thought entirely; itโs damn inconvenient. So I try to be as compassionate and helpful (and rational and functional) as I can, while being very discerning about what I choose to let in. I should also say that I feel in my soul that love is the highest truth and I want us all to ascend back to light. I just donโt know if I am ready to open my heart to the pain and do my part to shepherd us home.
I am really curious if anyone else has experience, insight, questions or advise on this path. Pura vida
The Lost Legions of General Brusk Solon
I decided to do a writeup for three new types of Stormtroopers. These were supposed to be defensive troopers - 'Stormtroopers' implies storming things, after all - and therefore they ended up being 'Siegetroopers'. Though one might argue that it is a bit ambiguous whether a Siegetrooper is executing a siege or defending during a siege, the intention is to evoke the same ideas as Stormtroopers, but more defensively.
The backstory I built for the three Siegetrooper variations works best post-Clone Wars. The Lost Legions could work well as an Imperial loyalist remnant after Darth Sidious is killed and the second Death Star is destroyed - if a campaign is set earlier in the Classic Era, the Lost Legions could be a squad-based set of Imperial-loyal bounty hunters or perhaps a mercenary company. One could also use the Lost Legions headquarters as a strangely well-defended agriscience facility, or perhaps some of the gear of the Lost Legions - armor, shields, weapons, or even the starfighters and troop carriers developed for their use - end up on the black market somewhere.
Using SAI Inc as a specialized agricorp can make the reveal of the Lost Legions pay off better - the sudden realization that the agricorp with a strange number of sisters working for them is actually a well-armed Imperial loyalist faction might be a rude awakening for some.
I intend to post about the Lost Legions equipment and ships separately; this post will contain the backstory and an Alien Races-style writeup for the three different Siegetrooper genetemplates. A more detailed writeup of SAI Inc complete with the stats for Manservant as well as some suggested scenarios is also on my slate. Or datapad, as the case may be.
A seed planted by accident
In hindsight, it was almost inevitable. Throughout Darth Sidious' rise as Chancellor Palpatine and later on Emperor Palpatine, the Dark Lord built an empire where his rule was absolute and unchallenged. Fragmenting his opposition through making various factions compete for his favor, he made it so that the entirety of the Empire was serving him - and when he fell, the leadership fragmented... and the fragile cohesion of the Empire shattered as its leaders factionalized.
In a bureaucracy built on the rule of the strong, and where factions are vying for the favor of one supreme ruler, things slip through the cracks. Occasionally, what slips through the cracks are innovations
