A list of puns related to "Armoires"
Is anyone able to determine the value of this armoire? Itβs absolutely beautiful solid mahogany & weighs well over 300 lbs... both the drawer & upper doors are keyed. The armoire doors open and slide back into the cabinet smoothly.
Thanks for any insight! Stay safe & healthy everyone! π€

Was recently offered this armoire. Was told it was purchased in the 1920βs in the Midwest area of the US. Sorry I donβt have any more photos, as this is what was sent to me. Trying to decide if moving this across the state is worth the money and effort.

This is what I use, and it's been a life saver. Especially in an apartment, where you can't really install anything permanent.
Make sure to secure it to the wall to avoid tipover (furniture kills, y'all).
And pay attention to the weight limit for the shelves (this will be included in the instructions if you're buying a new unit). You can reinforce the shelves with extra glue, too. Armoires are usually built for lightweight items, so storing too many heavy cans and things will probably not work well. If you see any bowing on the shelf or the sides of the unit, then the shelf is too heavy.
I know that current offerings are generally quite awful, but every so often there are some true hidden gems out there, past and present.
What are some of your preferred celebrity fragrance recommendations?
They don't have to be "BEAST MODE" or a "JUICE WITH CRAZY SILLAGE" that is a "TOTAL PANTY DROPPER" (I can't with some reviews...), but just something you enjoy. They don't necessarily have to smell niche, or have niche or exotic ingredients, just what you generally enjoy.
One of my personal favorites was Carlos Santana for Men. I was OBSESSED with this fragrance when I first got it, because it was one of very few fragrances that didn't smell aquatic, but managed to smell like spices (I love Quorum and Quasar, go figure.).
Not a favorite, but I purchased Adrenaline by Enrique Iglesias, because it was cheap enough for me to give it a shot. It's pleasant enough, nothing I would go out of my way for, but I must say, I layered it on top of Bath and Body Works Bourbon lotion this evening, and the two play quite nicely with one another.
Passion for Men, I don't have strong feelings for this particular fragrance. The reviews made it come off one way, but to me, it's a very generic fragrance. Not terrible or course, but not quite wow worthy either. It reminds me of Obsession for Men, but so do a number of vetiver heavy fragrances (Zirh Ikon).
Alain Delon I never appreciated as a kid. I wish I had. I still have a bit of the original fragrance left over. It has what many call a "Barbershop vibe"to it. To me, it always smelled like herbs infused in milk, but I was a kid, so what did I know?

We closed on a house and the sellers left some VERY heavy pieces upstairs that we now need to get rid of and/or sell. This one has a Maitland Smith stamp. I have yet to post this one for sale because I have no idea its worth and its too heavy to move. Im assuming its going to need to be taken apart because it will not fit through the doorway. I found some other larger pieces that were in excess of $5000k but no idea if this piece is just as expensive. Located in Northern Virginia.
So my glam chest is starting to get a bit full, and I'm nowhere near done collecting items that may need to go in. The various Artifact gearsets are chief on this, but there's tomestone gear, dungeon gear, and more I'm probably going to have to start making choices on.
But one thing about the process that frustrates me is that gear you get from quests - not stuff used for periodic upgrades, but things that are oriented towards being glamour items, as well as the artifact armor - aren't all Armoire-storable. The OG level 45 gear can be put in there, but none of the later sets can be, so I have to use up slots in my inventory, retainers, or glam dressers to keep around the cool looking stuff I want to use for glam, either now or in the future. Further, things that have NO combat value - the Scion sets, the eyepatch and bandages from the Stormblood postgame quests, and so on - can't go in there either. These are clearly meant for glam only, but we aren't able to store them permanently without taking up slots elsewhere. We can always recover them if we dump them, and the fee for it is paltry and in-game, so it's not a money issue. So... why?
The 400-piece limit on the glam chest, while annoying, can make sense - when you consider the number of players, and table sizes, it can be a strain on a server to keep all of those lists for everyone properly (though I know I'd be willing to pay for more plates and gear slots). But these are things the game is having to track giving us from quests for Calamity Salvager purposes. What reason could there be for not letting us use the Armoire to store this stuff that it's going to only be used for glam, either because it IS glam gear or because we'll be able to replace it with Tomestone gear right away?
