A list of puns related to "Aloha State"
The song comes on at the end of episode 31 of TH: Aloha State, when Ryo joins the house. I just cannot seem to find it. Any help would be great
i didnt mind it until the last episode, honestly ruined my experience. cheri was unbearable to watch. taishi carried the show. guy was a delight. laurenβs art is superb. i think once the cast became all late 20 somethings, the mood really went down.
will not rewatch most likely, but at least i got to experience it. now the question, is tokyo worth watching despite the circumstances ? is there another show i can watch instead ? i shouldnβt have saved aloha state for last lolβ¦such a downer.
Ok, after multiple rewatches of all the seasons by myself, and then with a friend. I've exhausted all TH content except Aloha State. I've always skipped it because of its bad rep, but now I need my TH fix... but it's soooo bad. I'm on episode five, I think, please tell me it gets better, like some new less "fuckboyie" guys will move in? Lauren and Yusuke are cool, Avian seems cool but we never see her, Naomi is average TH girl, but Eric and the other one really suck... so that's it. I know I'm the 697th person posting this, but I need reassuring. Thanks.
After Guy left the vibe of the show totally changed. All of the remaining members besides Taishi put me to sleep! Theyβre so boring. The show really already started going completely down as soon as Cheri came. I really have no motivation to finish :/ does anyone think the end is worth watching?
have been watching aloha state recently and i have 2 more episodes to finish it off. i believe in the third last episode was when the "group argument" happened, particularly between Taishi and Cheri. let me just say, Cheri's a whole bitch. it baffled me seeing how almost no one, especially Wez and Ryo, said nothing about the whole issue? Taishi was doing ALL the talking and i was damn annoyed by everyone else for keeping their mouths shut throughout the ordeal.
first of all, when confronted about how her words hurt Mariko (and they were obviously harsh), she blamed Mariko for being sensitive and told her and Taishi that people need to get hurt in order to grow up? wtf? then when Taishi questions her, she decides to play the victim talking about how she was so sick that day and that no one noticed, especially Taishi. she tells him that it's literally his fault for not noticing how sick his roommate was? how the fuck was he supposed to know? and why are you blaming the house for not giving you the attention and care when you can't even do the same to them? she's a huge hypocrite. especially after that one night where she tells Taishi he needs to let the girls (Niki and Anna) know about his feelings and not lead them on, when she can't do that herself either.
the fact that no one else was speaking up against her except Taishi really blew my mind. Wez is such a shallow minded guy, and seems to not really know or care about what's going on even though he was part of the problem. i can't exactly blame Ryo since he's still new, but Mariko slightly annoyed me as well. she's so kindhearted that she was the one apologizing instead of Cheri when it was HER fault anyway, but she decided to take the fact that Mariko's a "people pleaser" to her advantage and not apologize to her, still thinking she did nothing wrong. she even tells her "we can be best friends, so there's potential there." after Mariko expresses her desire to mend their relationship. she also tells her "you've lost your place on my list"; Cheri was clearly looking down on her. i mean what? who do you think you are?
not only is she a hypocrite, she's disrespectful and clearly has a superiority complex. she looks down on everyone in the house, and thinks she's some sort of queen who deserves respect but can't bother doing the same for others. it's totally fine to not want to build a rapport or friendship/relationship with someone; you won't get along with everyone and that's okay, it's only the way she

Rainbow Drive-In ( 3308 Kanaina Ave, Honolulu )
I was on vacation in Hawaii and I just had to stop by some of the most iconic Terrace House spots! This is Rainbow Drive-In where Guy and Niki went on their first 'date'. The plate lunches here are pretty big, the TH members weren't able to even finish half so I kind of felt bad that I ate all of mine π
Unfortunately, because Hawaii is such a big tourist destination, many stores struggled because of the pandemic. A few places were already closed down like the restaurant Taishi worked at, the Banan that fired Lauren (hmph!) and even the Unibazar that held Eric's pop-up cafΓ© Punchbowl.
Avian's 88 Tees had reduced hours and was opened from 1PM-5PM. I went twice. Once I found out the hard way that the stores hours had changed and the second time I got to meet Avian's uncle and mom. They were super nice and gave me music CDs and ILA Swim stickers π
Didn't get to see Avian though π her and Lauren were my favorites on the Aloha season.
On my last days in Hawaii, the state's governor announced immediate covid restrictions due to rising cases in the local community. I feel very lucky to have gone when I did. I hope everyone will be ok.
I don't know if I can share this on this sub, lmk if it's not and I'll remove it, I made a little video if you want to watch more spots I visited: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eflMVIWshmU
Prior to now, I couldnβt bare finish the whole season. I would start and stop, then watch random exposures etc.
I have followed along with posts on this sub so I could expect some of what would happen.
Anyways, here is what I thought of the characters and events.
Yusuke: I didnβt vibe with him but he seems like a nice guy. I know he lost weight since the series but I honestly think he looks good either way.
Lauren: I really like her art, the darkness inside of her comes out in her art and I find it enchanting. I love her friendship with Naomi and Avian.
Naomi: sheβs so pretty! Thereβs an undercurrent of sensual sexuality to her. She seems like such a nice girl and is someone Iβd definitely want to be friends with. Apparently she is/was dating Ryo from Aloha state and that seems like a very cute pairing.
Avian: she has a very cute smiley face with those dimples and a big beautiful smile. Banging body. She seemed very direct but it was not from a bad place.
Yuya: absolute babe. I have such a crush on him.
Eric: wasnβt sure of him at the start but he turned out to be a solid guy. I love that he supported everyone by wearing their branded merchandise.
Taishi: he is conventionally very attractive. Super smiley face is hard to resist. I can imagine if he was super clingy it could start to feel like, do you like me or do you just want to be in love? >!Chikako and him donβt last and apparently he recently said he wants an American gf which feels like a random thing to say.!<
Cherie: at first I was like, sheβs not that bad. >!oh boy was I wrong!! She was honestly next level. She reminds me of someone I knew who was a narcissistic coke head. Big fuck no from me!<
Niki: I really liked her! I want to believe that her and >!Guy were bumping uglies!<
Guy: Best. Guy. Ever.
Mila: wish we saw more of her.
Chikako: she didnβt do anything really bad. She was pretty nice. She just isnβt the type of person I vibe with. She seems to jump from relationship to relationship and seems like one of those Instagram chicks.
Mariko: she seemed nice. Honestly by time she joined I was just wanting the series to end. I wonder if anything was going on behind there scenes to make her cry so much.
Wez: no substance. Sort of a wannabe. Playboy
Anna: she seemed fine, very much valley girl. I donβt get what Wez did so bad to her?
Ryo: he was cuuuute. Boyfriend material. Weβre his eyes blue?!
Do you agree? Disagree? What do you think?
How has everyone's experience with the event at the Aloha Stadium been? Too crowded, social distancing at all? Curious to go but don't want my little ones being possibly infected if people are being too reckless.
I noticed the 88 tshirts and such in the Tokyo season and many said Arman had his own tshirt brand that he made and many of the members wore them. I know 88 has been in Hawaii a long time, was he collaborating with them or he happened to bring a lot of their shirts along with his own to give to everyone? But Aloha state is the next season and Avians mom owns it and she works there right? And has her own line through the store? Did Arman and Avian know eachother?
OK. I've slowly been watching TH:AS and am finding it a slooooooog.
Yusuke and Naomi have just left. Anna and Taishi have just moved in.
Now look - many lols have been had regarding Taishi's "I must find love in the last year of my twenties" goal - but that isn't enough of a hook to keep going.
Is there any real reason to keep going?. Is there an Avian meltdown ahead? Does Seina invite herself in again?
It's the song playing when Eric de Mendonca leaves Terrace House.
The only thing I can really hear is:
"I don't want to go but I can't stay here any longer"
EDIT: Sorry everyone -- we went overtime and have to get to another event now. So many more questions I wanted to get to. I'd love to do this again soon! Feel free to PM me if you have a burning question you'd like answered. Ending the AMA now. Thank you and aloha! Til next time .... -Tulsi
Aloha Reddit!
So happy to join you today. Iβm Tulsi Gabbard and I am offering to serve you as your President and Commander-in-Chief.
Hereβs a little background info about me:
I am the first female combat veteran to ever run for president of the United States. Along with Tammy Duckworth, I was one of the first two female combat veterans ever elected to Congress. Iβve served there for more than 6 years on the Homeland Security, Foreign Affairs, and Armed Services Committees.
I enlisted after 9/11 and still serve in the Army National Guard, currently a Major β serving now for more than 16 years with two deployments to the Middle East. I served in Iraq in 2005 during the height of the war, where I served in a field medical unit, every day confronted with the terribly high human cost of war.
I was Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2013 until I resigned in 2016 to endorse Bernie Sanders in his bid for President.
My campaign is powered completely by the people. I take no contributions from corporations, lobbyists, or political action committees.
I was born on April 12, 1981 in American Samoa (yes, I was born a US Citizen and am qualified to run for President). When I was two years old, our family moved to Hawaii where I grew up. As is typical of many people in Hawaii, I am of mixed ethnicity, including Asian, Caucasian, and Polynesian descent.
