Abstract

Food safety has always been and continues to be a major concern for all countries of the world. This concern is all the more perennial in the developing countries like Benin with a low economic level and still rudimentary and extensive agriculture. To reduce a little bit of food insufficiency, is developed urban and peri-urban agriculture based mainly on market gardening. This study focused particularly on the production of onion in southern Benin. It aims to analyze its performance, to understand the importance of this activity but also to see what are the obstacles faced by these producers. Three municipalities were investigated: Grand-Popo, Cotonou and Sèmè-Kpodji. A total of 60 farmers were surveyed at 20 per municipality. Quantitative and qualitative tools were combined for the analysis of data collected through individual and group interviews. A joint analysis approach was used to achieve specific objectives. It consists to combine speech analysis, participant observation with statistical tools such as the frequency distribution, the regression model and calculation of performance indicators. It follows from all of these analyzes that onion production is profitable from a financial point of view. This performance is enhanced by factors such as age, experience and membership of a producer group. Similarly, the farmers claimed for majority that onion occupies a special place in their market garden production. This production improves their socio-economic and food situations. However, the constraints that undermine the more onion production and thus constitute important producer concerns are financial, institutional, organizational, property constraints and those directly related to production. Farmers therefore, expect a little more effort from agricultural policies to improve the development of this sector.

Has anyone with acne scars tried scar creams with allium cepa (onion) extract, like Mederma Scar Cream, Derma E Scar Cream, or Leegeehaam Hope PLC Repair Cream, and have you had any luck with them? Additionally, has anyone tried silicone gels for acne scars? I've heard they're widely used by plastic surgeons because of how effective they are. I'm desperate to try anything for my acne scars. So would it be worth it to try these scar creams, or would I be better off just using Vitamin C/Niacinamide/AHAs? Thanks in advance!

THE BADMINTON RACKET

A visitor to our homes in India, instantly brings a smile to our faces. If there is a son or daughter with the guest, then the happiness multiplies. While the patriarch-in-residence asks the guests to sit down on a sofa and engages in polite enquiries. The lady of the house gets busy in the kitchen. It is time to make the atithi comfortable to a point where laughter begins, and never ends.

But things don't often go according to script.

It was a rather warm evening, when I was going around for a walk in my colony, when my father interrupted my circumambulations.

"Come home. There are guests"

I thought they must be relatives, hence the sudden interruption.

They were not.

Sweaty, and a little tired, I opened the gate to enter my house. As soon as I went through the door, I found a mother and a middle-aged son with an unkept beard seated on the settee.

“Good Evening Aunty”

Introductions were exchanged, and I discovered that the lady’s son was an actor. He took a train from close to where we lived, to train with a theatre group in the city under a well-known director.

“Kumar is good. But I have a friend in Bangalore who is way better, she is running a theatre workshop for a week. You should go. Autistic as you are”, the lady began.

Now that the concept of atithi devo bhava found its way into the dustbin along with the kitchen waste of the day, I looked to my father for some kind of an explanation. I could only see silence, so I decided to do what anyone else in my situation would have done.

This boy was wearing a red t-shirt with words “chaos” and “vicious party” written on the front, and sports shorts made with some silky material. He said nothing, but got up, and came to the study.

Please don't judge me. I'm making this post to give you guys my results for using onion juice to promote thicker hair growth. This is not a post to tell you guys that you need to use onion juice for your hair, this is a post to tell you all the results that I got from using onion juice, hoping that if someone was thinking about using onion juice, then this post will help someone. If you guys want me to post some articles about the science behind onion juice for thicker hair growth I will link them at the bottom.

I know you guys are thinking, why would I use onion juice on my hair for hair growth? So I normally don't believe in diy concotions from the internet that they say will grow your hair superfast or overnight because they are not backed up by any science, research or consistency with that one product that they say will "grow your hair super fast," so I believe most of that is stupid, and even when I noticed that the onion juice thing was trending on youtube I didn't want to believe it. What made me change my mind was when one of my friends told me how onion juice helped her hair a lot, like how it helped to make her hair grow thicker, how it helped her hair density increase, and how it helped her hair become more softer and fuller, which were things I really took notice. Then I decided to do my own research and I found some articles about how onion juice can help with hair loss, balding, thinning hair and other stuff, so I decided to try to use onion juice for thicker hair growth because hell why not?

The way that I do it is, I apply onion juice in my hair for 30 minutes as a pre-poo treatment before I proceed to shampoo my hair two or three times to help get rid of the stinky onion smell. Sometimes I would use onion juice every week before shampooing if my hair was in a long term protective style like boxbraids, and sometimes I would use onion juice once a month if my hair wasn't in a long term style. I shampoo my hair with a sulfate shampoo, I use a diy deep conditioner with rice water, I put oil on my hair when its wet, and then I use regular leave in conditioner and hair grease on my scalp. I also massage my scalp every few days to help with bloodflow and hair thickness if that is helpful for anyone.

I have been using onion juice for about five months on my 4c medium dense textured hair, and I have gotten some pretty great results. What I have noticed was that my hair grew a lot thicker, I have a slight increase in density and thickness,

I have oily acme prone skin and have dealing with Post acne brown marks and went to dermatologist and he gave me following routine :

AM :

1. Z glow face wash ( Niacinamide, glycol acid , tea tree oil )

2. SensiScar gel ( Allium Cepa extract ,Heparin Sodium and Allantoin gel )

3. Suncross Sunscreen

PM :

1. Z glow Facewash

2. Acnelite gel ( 4% nicotinamide and 1 % clindamycin phosphate)

3. Emolene cream

I have heard about Sensiscar gel and its actives for first time and he told me it will help with Acne scars .

So anybody here knows about this actives and will this helps me to reduce scars and marks ?
