This post is to showcase my code which I will use for hosting a bot writing competition for the game Sylver Coinage. I also encourage any interested party to compete and write a bot (interesting python project for anyone interested). All my code can be found here.
Basically, the package has all the information about the game in the ReadMe and the bots I wrote for the package are all heuristic algorithms that come up with a move based on a set of calculations.
The testingSylver-version-1.3.py file is used to referee the matches between the bots and keeps track of the time of each player, the moves played so far in a given game, and the remaining legal moves in a given game. It also keeps track of the score of each bot (how many games won, matches won, etc.).
For anybody that wants to look through the code and suggest modifications or optimizations, I would love the advice. Also, for anybody interested in participating in the first Annual Sylver Coinage bot tournament, information can be found here.
