A list of puns related to "Secondary characters in Calvin and Hobbes"
So let's all take a minute to thank Bill for sticking to his guns.
I read recently (going through the first anthology again and I got curious) that Susie Derkins is the only character whose first and last name is revealed. That got me thinking about how many characters are in the series as a whole, on or off panel (like when Susie asked Calvin to pass a note to someone, I think she said her name Leslie). They're pretty consistent, Watterson doesn't often bring in one-off characters, there must not be too many. And even fewer with names.
That's pretty rare for a series that went on daily for around a decade.
here's Stupendous Man respect thread
The battle takes place in a empty city
Round 1: Stupendous Man is confident that he will win
Round 2: Stupendous Man is Bloodlusted, for some reason.
(I will ignore the fact Stupendous Man only win moral battles, accord to Calvin)
Among his imagined feats (please tell me if I forgot any):
-Ability to talk to tigers
-Ability to survive being mauled by a tiger on multiple occassions with little injury
-Ability to create living snowmen
-Flight, super hearing and super strenght as Stupendous Man
-Ability to fly to Mars on a wagon
-Ability to clone himself or transmogrify himself into any form
-Time travel, but a type that doesn't actually change the past
-Ability to turn into a T-Rex without the use of a transmogrifier
-Ability to turn invisible by use if a magic elixer
-Expert spacecraft flying ace while Spaceman Spiff
-Master poet
-Visionary genius
Who is the strongest character that he can 50/50?
Not a big philosophy guy so..yea just curious your thoughts on this or is there something really obvious I'm just missing?
As a kid I loved Calvin and Hobbes, and I am trying to get me and my dog drawn in that kind of style for a tattoo! If you are interested PM me and I can send you my reference!
Calvin's parents have decided to hire a new babysitter, and Calvin has decided to make her life a living hell. The character must perform all traditional babysitting duties normally expected to take care off a six-year-old. Calvin wins when the character ends up unwilling to perform those duties, attempts to harm Calvin, or performs any other action which clearly indicates they have failed the prompt. Calvin is not allowed to psychically harm anyone or perform any action blatantly outside his personality. For the sake of prompt all characters are assumed to speak English.
