A list of puns related to "Martinson"
I was aroundโ
Every night
I called up to her window
EmilyโEmily, donโt die alone...
I was there
As close to serenade
I tried to make my voice sound,
When I sung out to her:
Come down Emily, Emily come take a walk with meโ
Put your feet on solid ground!
I was confined to come each eve,
I cried for her to glimpse my sight,
I saw but a lonely light;
A discomforted form at work.
I swear I came even on wild nights,
Where now I think the rain tried
To provide me with some future incite,
Though I was unaware of what she wrote
I knew that she did write,
I thought she would retire soon from sowing,
The window was high,
With candle light still glowing,
I whispered, EmilyโEmily
Please stop what you are doing,
Just for a momentโ come walk with me
EmilyโEmily, donโt die alone...
I heard a pace, I heard her rise,
I heard her heartโ it was racing,
I thought I could hear her feet on the steps--
The upstairs window flew openโ
The door below stayed closedโ
I should have known it was her life that was going...
There was no light in the window anymore
Later nights when I did call;
My life without her had little answer...
It was strange how I kept facing
Returning to where she went departing
Without a care at all.
But when I broke the rules
So sick with love from calling,
I found a trunk full
Of slanted verse
And I was no longer falling.
Yet after I made your work immortal,
You died again, in my grief.
Now often nights I still come by,
Sometimes I think I see,
A shadow pass over your room;
I shed a tear for Emily.
I'm reading the translation by Klass & Sjoberg and am enjoying how they modulate the rhythm. It's really pleasant to experience just on that surface language level, let alone the story.
Hello everyone! I am posting this because I promised to give an update on my interaction with Martinson College. I was FINALLY able to speak with someone regarding the price of their SPT classes, and I was told that for $2,500 (!!!) and three months in virtual sessions one could earn FULL CBSPD certification.
While I like the idea of completely virtual sessions, I feel that $2,500 is a lot of money for a three months long course. As a matter of fact, I find that price absolutely ridiculous! However, I understand that it may be a reasonable price for some. I feel that completing the Purdue University SPT course online would be a much more feasible option for me. The course is only $420 including textbooks, and it is only $285 without textbooks.
Many people have advised me to self-study, but I am having a hard time doing so without structure of some kind. Besides, I figured that after earning provisional certification from IAHCSMM, if I am unable to complete the 400 required hours within six months I could use the grades that I earned from Purdue University to sit for the next CBSPD exam. Remember, all I would need is a score of 70% or higher to sit for CBSPD. Win/Win! What are your thoughts? Do you feel that either is worth it?

Hey devils.
As you may recall from my last post from little over two months ago, Lance Corporal Mitch Martinson was committed to the hospital after a car crash, in which the fate of his life was in heavy question.
They were going to pull the plug two days after my original post. The doctors said thereโs no chance heโs not brain dead and struggled to find activity. They also said that he would not be able to breathe on his own without a ventilator. Due to this, they scheduled him to be taken off life support with consent from the family.
On the day of, his mother told the doctors she wants a second opinion.
The doctors ran test after test, and found the slightest hope he may make it: a sliver of activity.
During this time, me and all our friends were a wreck and sobbing like kids, no shame in admitting this. I didnโt know they decided not to pull the plug until quite a while later, as in the next day. Me and my friends drank toasts to him, and Iโll be honest, I got in a few fights over the fact that I was holding onto hope that they would find activity, and was told just to let it go and accept he was gone.
I was thankfully right. They took him off the ventilator, and he began breathing on his own. For a small amount of time, bit by bit. Heโs going to make it.
Mitch is still in a medically induced coma, but he is responsive to numerous things: voices of friends, requests to move limbs, and last but not least, the theme song to Halo.
Mitch is fighting for his life like Bruce Lee. I have hopes, I have prayers.
For any of you interested, his mother made these shirts to help pay off the medical bills. I know youโll look like a boot wearing it, but at least you have a reasonable excuse for it.

Thank you guys all. Please be safe out there.
I'd just like to talk to you all about the differences between the Martinson family and the Martinson family.
Rick, Amber, and their kids Ethan and Justice are of the Martinson family--good people, reliable, hard working. You all know Rick as the manager of the Tru-Value Hardware downtown. He and Amber worked hard to own it.
Now, on the other side is Larry Martison. His kids are Ethan, and Stacey. Most importantly, his wife and their mom is MARTHA MARTINSON.
STRONG LANGUAGE WARNING AHEAD: I am SICK and TIRED of seeing Rick and Amber victimized for being mistaken for the Martinson family! The person or people who graffittied the--the--penis--on the back the building--disgust me to my core. It was an outright attack against them because the perpetrator of this act clearly thought they were of Martha Martinson's ilk. This is not so!
So please, if you see Rick or Amber, or Justice, or Ethan (the GOOD one)--give them a high five or a pat on the back. If you see Larry, or Stacey, or Ethan (the BAD one), let them know what they think of Martha trying to turn this town upside down!
