List of hors d'oeuvre Puns

I’m thinking- a happy hour bridal shower, 3/4 pm, then going out on the town after with anyone who wants to. Requiring cocktail attire, and making it a bit more formal. My mom is old school and HATES the idea, my maid of honor loves it, and I like that it’s not super traditional. What do you guys think?

Hello friends! I am looking for help with some recipe planning.

Every year I host a Cocktail party at Christmas time, with an awful lot of Champagne and Canapés. It's the one party a year where my friends and I pretend to be classy people.

I'm having trouble with this year's menu. I want to find something Vegan that's substantial and elegant to serve my guests, and all my recipe searches are returning either "Game Day" foods, or, well, pastes.

I already have a few dips planned, so I'm hoping to do something that feels like a traditional omnivorous canapé; I want it to be filling enough to keep people satisfied and not get them too inebriated.

I found this post which looks fantastic, but I'd like to add at least one more dish; preferably something filling (so likely protein based).

So we’re definitely serving our guests tons of food - but we’re not big fans of the whole sit down dinner kind of thing, and also we’re major foodies and are having the reception at one of our favorite restaurants for hors d’oeuvres and small plates. I want people to know there will be plenty of food, but not a formal dinner.

Also, every single family wedding we’ve gone to in the past few years has the awkward dance music and an empty dance floor. We don’t really dance, doesn’t seem like any of our family dances, therefore, we said screw it, we’re skipping the dancing part. Since the wedding is about 4 hours away though, we expect folks will be staying at the hotel and have opted for s’mores and dessert cocktails at the hotel bonfire on the beach. (The wedding reception ends at 9pm).

Therefore, my question is: how do we word this?

The invitation has a specific line for “dinner & dancing to follow”. Ideas?

What would you do after? Your wedding ends at 6pm. You probably want dinner. I figure we’ll go to our favorite restaurant for dinner (heck yes still wearing my dress!), maybe with the close family? Or would you go just the two of you? Go watch the sunset on the beach (my dress is only $200, I don’t mind it getting sandy)? I like the idea of a day time wedding, but I normally leave weddings half tipsy and go home and go to bed. I’m just not sure what to do with the rest of the evening or what to encourage my guests to do. Wedding will be in Cambria, CA (beach town about 40 mins away from Paso wine country).

Could you do Cher's hors d'oeuvre dinner from the 1990 movie Mermaids? Cheeseball pick me ups accompanied by miniature franks and for desert marshmallow kabobs.

I recently ordered a VFE klein bottle and i was wondering if i could accomplish the same thing that the fairfield hors d’oeuvre does by just patching on channel of the klein and sending it back to the other effect channel?

That is going to be the name of the restaurant we’re opening after the squeeze.
