A list of puns related to "Hardtack"
I've been trying to find a nice resistive cracker that can be more of a "challenge" for my daughter, and also a vessel for things like avocado/yogurt/cheese/etc. I gave her a whole grain Wasa cracker, which I knew would be tough.
As she was eating it, I realized this might be a choking hazard. While the cracker is so hard that it requires her to just suck on it and moisten it until it's chewable, it might be possible that she could suck off a harder piece... thoughts?
I'm usually not too worried about higher risk foods as we cut them according to Solid Starts and supervise her closely - she has been a really good eater. I haven't seen any specific guidance from Solid Starts on crackers like this, so wanted to hear recommendations or opinions? Thanks!
Consumed hardtack for the first time at a reenactment recently.
It was fine. 5/10, would consume again if necessary. It's really not that much different than matzah. Based on what people had said, I was expecting it to be the one of the worst things I had ever had to misfortune to eat but it wasn't that bad. Several military reenactors said I was brave to try hardtack and offered me something else to eat.
I ate the whole biscuit. Am I the weird one for not hating it? Any opinions welcome.

Hi folks,
Iβm headed back to training after several years of being out of it completely.. however this is the first time post my gluten allergy realization/epiphany.. and I am going to be without a kitchen/electric/anything for a week (just a backpack basically) everything on the go for roughly a week or so..
Is there some version of gluten free hardtack, on the go bread, or like gluten free MRE life hack that anyone knows? Or am I just gonna be eating dried nuts and fruit for a week trying to keep it together? I donβt think I can depend on normal GF bread to hold together sufficiently, resulting in some bread crumb mess.
I know this is kind of a ridiculous request, but if Reddit doesnβt know.. I donβt think the answer exists.
Help a brother out.. much appreciated.
