>Sam Goldwyn and Chico Marx were once engaged in a backgammon encounter, with Chico proving himself a far better player. Three times Goldwyn’s son Sam junior knocked over the board, so they had to keep starting the game over. Finally Chico told Sam to get rid of his son. Goldwyn did, but Sam kept returning. Fed up, Chico escorted the boy from the room and came back five minutes later, alone.

>The game was played with no more interference. Amazed at Chico’s ability with children, Goldwyn asked, “How’d you do it?”
