A list of puns related to "Battery (tort)"
Holy shit. I already took my three other exams including two eight hours and it was fine. I thought I had a decent grasp on torts but it really killed me, time pressure was insane and I barely had an opportunity to answer one of the questions. Rip.
Our professor divided our tort law class in small teams to work on projects and want us to choose names for our teams to stand out. I'm looking for suggestions on what our team should be called, preferably using a good pun that's relevant to tort law or law in general. What would you recommend?
Negligence? What do we think? I was casually discussing this with a gunner friendβ¦
Thrilled to be sent over from the admissions sub. So glad there are relatable people out there who are working or canβt (or donβt want to!)spend 9 hrs a day on lsat prep
Grateful for your insight.
Last Saturday, Lucy's best friend, Penny, embarrassed her at a party. Penny was walking behind Lucy, when she reached out and pinched her read end. Lucy jumped, spilling her drink all over herself. Lucy laughed in the moment, but she was angry, and she resolved to take revenge. On Thursday afternoon, she got her chance. Lucy saw Penny standing in the library. Lucy walked up behind Penny and pulled her skirt down. Penny screamed. Or rather, the woman Lucy thought was Penny screamed. But it wasn't Penny. It was a new student at school-Olivia. Olivia looked a lot like Penny, but she didn't know Lucy, and she was not amused. Did Penny batter Lucy at the party? Did Lucy batter Olivia in the library?
Got a C in the exam I felt most confident about. Don't know how to feel. Kind of numb to it. Haven't received my other grades. Hoping they are better. Good luck to you all getting your grades back!
Based on new issues tested in recent administrations, I have significantly updated my MBE Torts outline which assisted in my placing within the 90th percentile for the subject. These materials will be highly useful for the February '22 exam. I will gladly email a copy to anyone who is interested!
I recently became aware of tortoises, and have developed an interest that sent me down a 5am rabbithole that I have yet to resurface from. That was about a month ago, and Im still doing a lot of research and I've decided that not only can my budget house another companion animal, but I have the space and means to take care of a tortoise as well.
That being said, I still, most likely, won't house my first tortoise for another 4-6 months, possibly longer, as I want to give myself a good amount of time to not only acclimate to the information I've found, but to memorize and internalize it, too.
I wanted to ask about two different species of tortoise and gleen some insight into others' experiences with them to decide which might be right for me, or if neither are right for me, determine what species to look at/research next.
So far, I've found the Cherry Head Red Footed Tortoise and also the Elongated Tortoise may be right for my schedule, space, and time available (although when they need to be taken care of, they need to be taken care of, and im prepared to make time where its needed).
The Cherry Head Red Footed Tort seems to thrive in humid climates with plenty of direct sunlight, whereas the Elongated Tort seems to prefer more indirect sunlight but at similar temperatures and humidity and will rarely bask. This is only what I've read, though, and Im still learning how to vet sources for this particular niche, so please correct me if I'm wrong!
I'm a beginner here, and both of these turtles were listed on multiple sites as "Good Beginner Companions" or something similar. Is that at all true? The research says, yes, they are easy, provided you respect them and their needs, same as all animals. But I know experience can vary vastly.
I was hoping to make something of a vivarium with a lot of plants and a self-cleaning ecosystem, but after everything I've seen and read, tanks/full enclosures overheat too easily, so unless there is very good, strategic ventilation, it's unlikely this is a good option for a tortoise.
I just really want some input from actual people who have owned tortoises and not a website that I need to spend 30-45 minutes vetting every time I want to do even a modicum of research.
