Van Nuys airport plane spotting?
Hi all - can anyone recommend a good spot to park and do some plane spotting at the Van Nuys airport? I recently lost my father and one of my earliest memories from chidhood is that we'd go and park in a lot where we could see the runways and watch the planes landing and taking off. I think this was at the corner of Havenhurst and Sherman Way but looking on Google Street View now I'm not sure that this exact spot will still works well. I've long ago moved out of the valley and so I'm not really familiar with what the area around the airport is like now, but I really want to go by myself for a few hours and watch the planes as a way of remembering and honoring him.
