These days I typically see either tract housing or custom built homes (I live in Phoenix). How were houses built before tract homes? I assume they weren't all custom builds, esp in the mid to lower price ranges yet I see neighborhoods where the houses all look so different.
America is composed of groups of people who have no common tradition no common creed no common culture.
In order to prevent one of these groups from taking over, the ruling elites engaged in widespread social engineering to create a bland mindless consumer who lives in isolation. Car culture, suburbia, televisions, shopping malls, very poor use of space, poor education, pornography all of these contributed to creating the 'boobus Americanus', someone completely deracinated from any truth who lives only to fullfil hedonistic desires by consuming anything and everything on credit.
Individual isolation is the method which the ruling elites envisioned they could control all these groups of people. Social media which is corporate controlled provides the desperately lonely individual a safe space to socialize under a fully monitored environment.
Identifying as 'white' means you have no actual culture and grew up in suburb relating to some product a profit seeking commercial entity sold to you. America destroyes all traditions and attempts to create the 'white guy' as the ideal. The 'white guy' just consumes things and works all day. White guy is akin to the soviet equivalent of homo-sovieticus.
The failure of the blacks to become white people just with black skin is the main reason for all the racial tension. Blacks are expected to also just consume and work and be successful just like the 'white guy' archetype just with black skin.
Everyone shopping together at Walmart and living in cheap tract housing while holding 5 credit cards was the unifying model of the country.
The backlash everywhere is coming from a complete lack of actual identity amongst people living in America. Nobody actually knows who they really are or where they are going.
This has no happy ending.
