A list of puns related to "Toland"
So being that it seems we will be spending time in Savathunβs thrown world and Toland a constant guide for us in the ascendant plane, Im hoping he gets a bit more to his story or have a bigger role. With that being said, there are so many plot point that still need to be fleshed out, my hopes are not high.
What do you think Tolandβs role will be if any in witchqueen?
I don't know why, but ever since reading that Toland has an Ascendant Space, it's been kinda funny to me. I always just imagine that Toland Orb sitting on a little Island in the Sea of Screams, chilling in a faded suede couch sipping Ascendant coffee and watching the events of the universe play out on an old tube TV with poor satellite signal.
Ok so This is my first post so Hope I titled it well but a few things that caught my interest. In The ascendant Plane and in Tolands Journal he mentions Osiris being in the Ascendant plane. Of course at the time we had no idea about Savathun Taking over Osiris. Now I came back to Destiny around Season of the Chosen but I know Dreaming City was released with Forsaken which is where Uldren was killed and of course sometime after was Rezzed as Crow. We know that Savathun took over Osiris when Sagira sacrificed herself according to Inmolant Part 2. Which also makes me wonder who wrote Immolant part 2?
I know when Toland mentions Osiris in the ascended realm was in later introduced Ascended planes dialogue. Is it possible that Osiris was there cause Savathun put him there after taking over. Now I know many assume she possessed him the whole time but I'm not convinced cause of the black goo she mentions in the lore. To me it's more likely she possessed him at first to be able to understand him enough and his interactions around people to keep up the facade and not get caught. I think she then just shapeshifted Into him which helped her avoid the black goo issue and being caught. Mara also mentions Osiris is safe so my guess is in that scene she gets put into a cocoon Osiris is somewhere else and she merely shaped Into him.

I have linked the Audio from Ascended Plane above Most of the ones I have seen have that same or similar release date for that dialogue. I believe Immolant part 2 was from same year and month that video is made also.
What is anyone else thoughts or am I missing something? Hope This is titled right thank you all.
"Osiris! Osiris,Osiris, can you hear me?"
Also there is another lore where he says similar but says sometimes he thinks Osiris answers back. I however could not find a verifiable release date for that part in the Lore.
This movie exemplifies my favourite era and style of filmmaking. It's an understated masterpiece and has remained in my top 5 since my first viewing.
Borrowing from executive producer Neil LaBute's biting, critical writing sensibilities, as well as the humble authenticity of the best mumblecore and other dark indie dramedies of the ~2005-2015 era, this movie just hits all the right notes for me. It's hilarious, sad, dark, genuine, and profound all at the same time.
Adam Scott's performance is unbelievably good. I'm a fan of his generally but this is by far his best work. It's up there with Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine and Lars and the Real Girl for me, when it comes to this era of film. He's almost unrecognizable and I wish he would do more things like this.
Some critics and IMDB reviewers criticized the film for being misogynistic, but they completely missed the point as far as I'm concerned. The CHARACTERS are misogynistic, and the film does an excellent job of pointing out their hypocrisy and insecurity. It tells us misogyny is WRONG, not cool. And the lead actress (Brittany Snow, also terrific) is written and performed as a complex, fully realized character - despite moments of intentionally alluding to the manic pixie dream girl trope.
The cinematography and music (score by Radical Face) are outstanding as well. Being set (and actually filmed) in the middle of winter brings a rare authenticity. You can tell the actors are freezing cold in several scenes.
As someone with a very troubled childhood and family life, the dysfunction on display here resounds very well with me. Combined with everything I mentioned above... yeah this is just the perfect film for me. It may not be for everyone, but I strongly suggest giving it a shot!
Sometimes Toland disappears, in case just go around a little or reload the zone and you will have it again

Biography:
If it had not been for King Raymont, Mors Toland would have most likely had a quiet life. He would have grown up a member of House Toland, principal bannerman to the Martells of Sunspear. He would have enjoyed a life of riding, hunting, and would have had little care for the world beyond his borders.
But, because of King Raymont, Mors Toland did not have a quiet life. Indeed, Mors Toland suffered greatly, as his family and lands were ravaged by the Volantenes, and the king himself did nothing.
Mors grew up as a member of House Toland would, riding and practicing his skills with a bow. As one of the houses astride the Boneway, it was better to be an expert of long-range, indirect warfare rather than engage a knight at close quarters. Practicing constantly with bow and arrow, Mors gained renown as an expert archer, despite his young age, and his father, Lord Aron Toland, bestowed the dragonbone bow of the house, Dragonβs Folly, upon his son. Though many viewed this as a ridiculous honor to bestow upon an eleven year old, the more astute noted that all House Toland had to its name was horses and that bow. Morsβ sister, Elia, oftentimes remarked that Mors would never find a wife because he would never get close to one. Mors would playfully state that any wife who sought him would have to catch him first, and no woman could match his skills.
But a woman did come for Mors Toland, and his family as well. The First Daughter of Valryia, Volantis, had grown tiger stripes, and reached out to raid lands beyond their borders and impress slaves into their hungry maws. The Toland lands suffered greatly, but Mors proved to be an expert in targeting commanders and gathering information. Though many
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've been craving a good biography about Adolf Hitler, something comprehensive. There are no Hitler biographies in the biography section of the booklist, but I managed to find discussions about them by searching the subreddit. Previously, I was aware of three: by Joachim Fest, John Toland, and Ian Kershaw. My understanding is that all of them are good, but Kershaw's is the most definitive, or at least that's my impression from reading posts and comments here. However, I have just discovered a relatively recent two-volume biography by Volker Ullrich. It has great reviews, and some have compared it favorably to Kershaw's biography, but I can find barely any discussion of it on this subreddit.
How do these biographies stack up? What are their strengths, weaknesses, and idiosyncrasies? Are there other great Hitler biographies not mentioned in this post? Which biography or biographies would you recommend?

First, the Ninth Moon Turn, 91 Years After the Doom: Riverspring...
Once again, the gates of Sarwyck Castle peeled apart, eagerly awaiting the guests to ride through and join the feast marking the union of Reece Sarwyck, uncle of Lord Sebation Sarwyckβand Lady Dyanna Toland.
The wedding itself took place in the Sept, which was a small block in the castle with its doors opening into the courtyard. The holy words were said before the large statues of the SevenβFather, Mother, Maiden, Warrior, Smith and Strangerβand gestures, long practiced by every westerner since the sweeping of the holy religion into the lands, were made; the tying of hands, the settling of a cape baring the House Sarwyck sigil upon the bride, exchange of vows, and a kiss to end it all.
The ceremony complete, the guests were led to the Great Hall, and upon the wide tables sat food that watered the tongue and made the stomach growl. Beef, bread, fish, grains and flagons of wine. Β For the Dornish efforts had been made to emulate their local cuisine; peppers that could burn holes through oneβs tongue rested on dishes beside plates, plates that had pieces of roasted scorpion beckoning to the guests. And the wine swishing within the flagons? Sour, but rich as well. And those who did not favour this? Sweet wine was within reach. More of the same were available to the westerners, of course, if they wished to be bold.
[Yeah, not my finest hour]
So originally I was gonna be a Martell co-claim playing a single character, but the call of a full house claim was too much to resist. Let's go Dorne gang!
I've completed prophecy over 30 times and still haven't tested this out myself.
1). To my knowledge I've always slammed correct and not tested, but what happens if I slam a dark mote at a light zone?
2). And then of course the Main question if I slam a dark mote on another dark zone where Toland is NOT above is there a penalty?
Thanks!
Toland was super active throughout Shadowkeep and we could see him floating around on the moon.
After killing Zulmak did he venture into the Scarlet keep?
Or did he go to the Tangled Shore or The Dreaming city during the events of Season of the hunt?
Can he access the splicer portals so he can see Qura's infection?
During Symphony of Death (Deathbringer quest), Toland says:
"You have overcome much - enough to impress the easily impressed- but the melody we seek to cage may be more than you can overcome."
To which Eris responds:
"Is that concern I hear in the old man's voice? Maybe his humanity isn't lost after all."
He denies, of course.
Did Eris just tease Toland about him still being somewhat sane?
Did we see an instance of banter between 2 people who went through terrible things?
Do they keep in touch?
I tried to do the Bounts to locate Toland so Petra gives me one of her shotguns but it doesnt work.
I located him in the ascendant challenge and in Shattered Throne, both didnt work.
Is there a way to finish this Bounty?
I think both have some similarities in their personality and now that both are "actives" in the game makes me wonder, who is the worst between this 2?
Bungie, pls fix this bounty already. It's already hard to get good rolled DC weapons cuz of the number of things that provide legendary loot in this destination.
Toland being broken for over 6 months probably robbed many people from getting decent rolls.
And there's no comment whatsoever if it's gonna be fixed or the issue is known.
Found Toland in the Ascendant Challenge and it didn't complete. Happened to me last week as well.
Bungie please its been broken since beyond light I need my retold tale.
I would like to get into the works of inematographer Gregg Toland. Any recommendations or hidden gems? And is there some literature about him and/or his work?
Also: Can someone confirm, when exaclty he died? Some sources state September 28, 1948 and others September 28, 1948.
