Just a set of wooden stairs stretching up towards a pitch black night sky flecked with a million specs of light. The stairs seemed to be calling me towards them, asking me to ascend into the heavens, but I had the unequivocal feeling that doing so would only result in calling evil into the world...

Pig intelligence is greater than canine, therefore the morality surrounding a dogs life is no greater than livestock unless a person attaches value to it.

Most people are sad about dogs in shelters that get put down but I believe there's nothing wrong with it. If dogs aren't any more intelligent than a common livestock, the only significance for a dogs life beyond livestock is if a person values it. Also in terms of "adopt don't shop" if the dogs life has livestock significance then shopping from responsible breeders is condusive to responsible dog breeds and owners in the future

Edit 1: Lots of people are arguing that dogs being bred for companionship means we should value their life more than a livestock animal. The only reason that companionship should be a factor is if the animal is actively a companion or a high chance to be one soon, otherwise it is a non factor in that animals value.

[TOMT] Looking for an erotic comic wherein a woman has been bred to have the intelligence of a dog [Comic]

Sorry if this is rude to post among all the people looking for bits of childhood nostalgia, but I really want to find it.

I believe it was a Japanese comic (Hentai Manga) that came out at least 8 years ago. The whole thing was a series of very graphic sex stories. In one of them, a man keeps a sex slave who is a beautiful woman who has been bred/cloned/whatever to have only the intelligence and loyalty of a smart dog. I believe he keeps her chained up in a dungeon of some sort. He shows her to his friend, they both have sex with her, and one of the last images is of her still chained up in her dungeon and looking all lonely.

Dognutters rage against study about dog intelligence

/ The title is a bit misleading (my bad) so its more about nutters collective denial about their dogs not being among smartest animals in the universe /

This was part of a longer "essay" I wrote about why I don't like dogs and hate dognutters but I think I'll post it separately because this deserved it's own post. As the titles says there was a twitter uproar about this study, reactions varied from dognutters writing their own articles titled β€œDog Cognition: Dogs Are Even Smarter Than You Think”, β€œ4 Ways Your Dog Proves They’re Smarter Than People Think” and β€œ9 special abilities that show how smart dogs really are” to dognutters viciously attacking twitter accounts spreading the study which got it’s own article called β€œPeople think a study that says dogs aren’t that smart was written by cats”. I took a look at the twitter comments and wow… I wasn’t planning on going into this much detail but I just have to share this with someone so here goes:

I had to divide it up on 3 categories so here’s the People bragging about how smart their dogs are:

  • β€œMy dog who had multiple dogtorates would disagree. This report was written by cats who we all know struggle with science. 9 lives? They can’t count to 1”
  • "My best friend has a dog that wags her tail so hard when she’s happy that she broke it several times. Just TRY to tell me that isn’t the mark of a genius.” (Dude... wtf)
  • "My girl is so upset by this that she’s asked for the biggest bowl of water I have, a pile of peanut butter treats and a binge evening of β€œDogs” on netflix”
  • β€œWhen Betty got spayed she ate the tabs of the inside of her cone so she could fan it open and lick her stitches. Don’t tell me dogs aren’t smart.”
  • "Thanks Professor, exactly what I was thinking. When my dog tries to trade me a biscuit for some of my lunch, that’s pretty bloody smart."
  • "I beg to differ. I myself am a Harvard graduate (besides being a very good boy) so...yeah...exceptional. I have the diplomas on the wall (here's one) to back me up, chicks dig a Harvard man." (Followed by a picture of a
