A list of puns related to "Tail End"
โYOU, ow?โ The cat replied in disbelief. โME-owโ
I had an elderly patient today who was visibly upset, almost to the point of tears. I asked her if she was worried about having her blood drawn and she said that the blood draw didnโt bother her, but that she was upset because she had hit a cat with her car on the way to her appointment this morning. She said that she didnโt know who the cat belonged to and that she had it wrapped up in a blanket in her car. I asked her how badly the cat was hurt and she said โI think heโs going to be alright. I just clipped the hind end of him, but his tail is just barely hanging on. After I leave here, Iโm taking him straight to Wal-Mart.โ
I told her that she might be better off taking the cat to a veterinary clinic instead of Wal-Mart and she said, โbut itโs just his tail, and Wal-Mart is the largest retailer in North America!โ
After many years of wandering, he finally arrived in a small village in the middle of nowhere. The people there believed in the same religion as he did, but they had no church; they had to go to the nearest one which was in a small town 25 km's from there. The priest took the initiative, asked the Church for support, and with the help of the local men they built their own temple. From there on, he was celebrating the Sunday masses, joining together men and women in Holy Matrimony, and saying prayers at the funerals.
Many years passed by like that.
At the end of an ordinary mass, in early spring, on a chilly Sunday morning he was just guiding the people out of the church, was about to close the gates when an unknown man stepped into the churchyard.
With his dirty and torn clothes, he stood before the priest and said:
Priest, please be good and give me half a lemon! - the priest was a good man, and even though he thought the request was a bit strange, he went back to the rectory, took out a lemon, cut it in half, took it back to the man and gave it to him, who looked back to the priest with gratitude. However, the priest was curious. He asked:
Son, why do you need this half of a lemon? - with a fright on his face, and before the priest could have said a thing, he rushed out of the churchyard gate and took off.
A week later, around the same time, when the priest was leaving the church, he found himself in front of the same man in the churchyard. The man said:
Priest, please be good and give me half a lemon! - the priest was surprised by the appearance of the man and his strange request. Of course he was good, went back to the rectory, and brought the half lemon. Placed it in the strangerโs hand and immediately he asked:
Here it is, my dear son, but please tell me why do you need this half a lemon? - the man was obviously frightened and immediately ran away but the priest was not sluggish either and ran after him. He wasnโt in a very good condition, he has never run so much and so fast before so he was out of breath by the end of the village, almost fainted. He thought the strange man might appear again next week, and it would be nice if he could keep up with him, so he spent his week working on his cardio. It turned out to be a good idea, because as he thought, the stranger entered the churchyard on Sunday. The priest didnโt even wait for the request, he was good, and brought the half lemon. He received these words from the man:
Thank you
Almost 10 years ago now when my daughterโs mom was pregnant with herโwaddling miserably towards the tail-end of her third trimester and about ready to popโshe looked forlornly at her figure in the mirror one day and announced, โOmigod Iโm as big as a house!โ
And so I, the Rico Suave motherfucker that I am, popped my head up from the book I was reading on the bed and responded thusly without missing a beat:
โWell, baby girl, if youโre a house then youโre my dream home...โ
I thought our relationship was my rock on which we would build one hundred stories, but there were termites in the foundation. Unfortunately she ultimately turned out to be a mobile home that couldnโt stay tethered to a single lot for more than a few years at a time as, a short time later, she up-and-skedaddled from our lives and has been a deadbeat mom to our little girl ever since. (My daughter and I built a beautiful, cozy little bungalow-for-two anyways.)
Anyway, does that qualify as a pun, or just an extended metaphor? If not, sorry, I just always thought that was a good line and I wanted to humble-brag a bit.
I'm wearing a Thundercats t shirt, and right before i left, this exchange took place
"Is that a Thundercats shirt?"
pulls off safety vest to reveal awesome Thundercats shirt
"That is an awesome Thundercats shirt. You're pretty young though, wouldn't have thought you'd have seen it on tv"
"Yeah, I just caught the tail end of it."
cracks goofy smile
He just chuckled and facepalmed then walked away.
I've used this one many times, never gets old.
My Dad told me his neighbor was weed whacking and ended up snipping off a quarter of his cats tail by mistake. He ended up bringing the cat to Walmart because they are the worlds biggest retailer.
He and his cousins found a stray dog. They picked him up by the tail and poured gasoline down his butt. The dog freaks out and starts running around the yard. He ran around the house two or three times and suddenly stopped right in front of him and that was the end of the story.
So everyone is appauled because that's insanely cruel and my dad is not that type of man. So we ask if the dog died.
"No, he just ran out of gas"
My dad told me this one this morning: >An old lady's cat got its tail stuck under a door, and it ended up losing it. So she quickly brought the cat to Wal-Mart. Because it's the largest re-tail-er
