Ok, I have about 5 days/4 nights over the span of Thanksgiving weekend and would like to try something new. I am already planning on dropping a tab of 1p-LSD one night, staying up all of that night, using the next day/night as recovery, and the day after that taking it easy. That leaves three days (situated around thanksgiving night, because I'll be with family) to repeat that cycle of experimentation/recovery/extra recovery. 1P LSD is usually very physically demanding, I feel. I always get bad muscle tension and it can take a long time for everything to return to normal. For this reason, I'd like to dip my toes into trying something a bit... softer, I guess? I've been looking at different entactogenic RCs but have yet to find something that explicitly states that it's not stimulating. I wanna be sedated (guitar riff...Kidding), if anything. Just happy and relaxed and maybe with enhanced tactile sensation. Something sort of like MDMA but preferably without the harsh comedown if possible. Recommendations?

Lubricating the PCB removes the noises of the capacitive springs and domes pressing against the PCB. In the case of Deskeys Domes, it is required to lubricate the springs as well with 105 to eliminate the "spring crunch".

In light of the recent council vote to move forward with the painful mess of βCop Cityβ, and the repeated calls for some kind of plan to fight crime to appease Buckhead Secessionists (a call Iβve been assured is totally in good faithβ¦) I adapted a string-of-consciousness write up I did for a couple of choice city council candidates on my thoughts on improving public safety. This was not meant to be an all-encompassing, nor precisely detailed proposal. Iβm not a criminologist (and no that one class I took as an elective doesnβt count), so this is mostly an aggregation of parts and pieces accumulated over readings and listenings.

#Increasing Presence Without Over Policing
In the presence of an ongoing violent crime wave, calls for a strong police response have been growing, and finding political footing. These have come in the wake of the largest civil-rights protests in American history, whose call to action was confronting policing brutality, and the larger failure to uplift historically marginalized groups throughout the country.
Some people, usually those with a vested interest in playing up a narrative of failing cities, have chosen to view these as competing calls. As if reform cannot interplay with more effective and even increased policing. As if the only options are militarized, overly authoritarian policing, or else a full elimination of departments to reassign funding elsewhere.
I disagree. Not only because I view those stating the false-dichotomy as arguing in bad-faith, with the actual arguments being more nuanced than that, but also because I feel that the data shows a path towards a better outcome in its totality.
First, letβs look at what more policing does. Research from NYUβs Wagner Graduate School of Public Service has looked at data from the FBI and other public sources for 242 cities between the years 1981 and 2018. They found that for every new officer added to a force, between 0.06 and 0.1 homicides were prevented, which means that the average city would need to hire between 10 and 17 new police officers to save one life a year.
