A list of puns related to "Substantive"
Lately, posts in the sub have been for a lack of a better word... very tabloidy magazine-like or coping/healing group-like.. What happened to substantive DD posts and the ilk?
This is just something I noticed over the last few months since the start of the Fall season. The DD posts are gone and what has replaced the informative posts/DD are just posts that sound like we already lost are looking for mutual sympathy.
IDC if you think hedgies are fucked no matter what, I want to learn and read the DDs. Where did they all go? It seems a lot of nonsense gets posted. Although, I get that this post is a little hypocritical but I can't be the only one that noticed this change right?
Stuff like the swaps and house of cards were dope to learn about despite not strictly GME related per say.
Edit: to clarify
Iβm just Tired of the copium good feeling posts that mean nothing and if I be real sounds hella patronizing like we are on a losing fight. We are not βhereβ on any graph and there should not be any assurance to anyone pointing on a graph saying we are βthereβ. Telling me zooming out means nothing when the stock went up a thousand percent while being in a different social momentum..
Top-level posts should consist only of a word (or words) written in English, refering to a substantive object (e.g. spoon, gasoline, sofa, ...). Replies should provide a (possible) translation of that object in toki pona. Bring on all your difficult objects!

i've got to say, i like several things about this hearing.
I want to go deeper but Iβm time and cash poor. I also really prefer the daily format
Iβm quoted today in the Salt Lake Tribune:
βGiven that no substantive reform is possible within the LDS Church, the only hope for reform of the Latter Day Saint movement (Mormonism or the Mormon people in a broader sense) must come from outside the institutional church.β
The most βobvious vehicle for reform,β [Hamer] says, βis the second largest institution within the movement, Community of Christ.β
During the coronavirus pandemic, a Toronto Community of Christ congregation created a YouTube channel, βBeyond the Walls,β to livestream its services and sermons. βIt is the [churchβs] largest online ministry β with 21,800 subscribers and 2.9 million views as of October 15,β says John Hamer, a former Latter-day Saint and now a Community of Christ pastor.

I've been playing Rimworld for about 2 weeks now and I've really been enjoying it. I am no where near late game but seem to find myself in a weird place where I have no idea what to do next. My biggest holdback is probably having no components, additionally i play on easy mode so i don't really know how to start getting the advance components from ciphers and such (I only get attacked by tribalists). I would like to start exploring the world more but expeditions seem scary and I don't really know what the point of sending your people out there is anyway. I would really appreciate any kind of suggestions but what I would really love is some kind of substantive chronological list of tasks I could work through that would make it feel like I have something Im working towards! Here is a picture of my base it covers almost the entire thing the only missing piece is i have a massive pen for my horses (6).
Thanks for any help! https://imgur.com/a/g9vdaWd
But he married a bargain bin Salma Hayek who practiced her Spanish accent by watching Ricky Ricardo videos. God, he could have brought so much better into his life. Heβs just a man who has made rilly, rilly bad choices.
With all due respect, the fifth segment in a row on Biden's polling numbers is not substantive reporting. Nor is dunking on cringe takes from pundits on social media. I get it, K & S have lots of air time to fill but it frequently feels like scraping the bottom of the barrel for things to talk about. May I suggest reducing the number of episodes, but filling them with more substantive issues that affect our daily lives? If they want our political representatives to deliver on substance, shouldn't K & S stay focused on that too?
I am acting in a position that is governed by a different collective agreement than my substantive position. In the context of leave provisions, do I inherit the leave provisions of the collective agreement that governs my acting position?
The specific scenario I want this answer to address is that under my subtantive, I have 7.5 hrs of volunteer leave, and 7.5 hrs of personal leave whereas the CA for my acting position allocates 15 of personal leave.
I've already booked both the personal and volunteer day for this fiscal, and since my acting began, nothing changed in my leave balances. I'm wondering if I should have been provided with an additional 7.5 hrs of personal leave in accordance with the new CA.
I hope i'm being clear with my question :/

Itβs driving me crazy. He adds an extra syllable and says it like βSUB-stan-ti-tiveβ. Please tell me Iβm not the only one going through AUD with Becker whoβs noticed this
I'm exploring my options in case I don't find a new opportunity before I return to my substantive position. I'm really stressed out because my substantive supervisor made it clear that I am not welcome there, pretty much from when they joined the team. As my end date nears in my temporary role, I'm not sleeping well due to worry about going back to my home organization. I'm exhausted in the morning and I can only imagine that it will be worse when I go back. I don't know what to do, but based on my experience of working for this supervisor, I know that they don't want me on their team and they will make my work life very difficult. Do I have to return to my substantive position before taking paid or unpaid leave? If I go on leave directly from my temporary role, would that constitute a break in service? Should I talk to my doctor, my union, HR in my home organization, my supervisor or all four? Where can I find information about what to do next?
The backstory: On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my relationship with my supervisor as a low 1. I know there are at least two sides to every story. Here's mine. The supervisor came on board and immediately expressed their dislike for me. I did my best to learn their style and preferences. I briefed them on my files and asked for their perspective and info. on their mandate and priorities. I asked for feedback on my work and I tried everything I could to work with them by maintaining open communication and professionalism.
I'm sure they have their reasons why I am not the right person for the job, although they never shared them with me. I don't recall anything I did to provoke their behaviour in the short time we overlapped. Even though I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and interpret their treatment of me as objectively as possible, my time working for them was detrimental to my mental health. One of my colleagues presented my work and the supervisor spoke glowingly of the material - the exact same information that I had presented before and that the supervisor had previously dismissed when it came directly from me. When the supervisor presented my work to higher-ups, feedback from senior management was positive.
I became demoralized and I eventually gave up. When I realized there wasn't much more I could do, I searched for a new opportunity and found my current role (a secondment in another organization). Unfortunately, it's temporary so I'll have to go ba
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have not definitively been able to determine if there were laws on the books of the US or of England, between years 1600-1800, that restricted "free men" from working in any profession that they were competent for such positions.
Laws restricting who could be an attorney, even if they could pass the Bar exam of the time (which were oral analysis to measure their understanding), are the most sought after, but other professions outside of farming are highly desired as well (Blacksmiths, Bakers, Barbers, Hat makers, shoemakers, etc...).
I clarify "free men" since at the time slaves, women, and when children would be given to a "Master" to learn certain skill sets for a determined number of years, couldn't make their own decision. I'm also not inquiring into positions of governmental officials.
Iβve been seeing a guy for about 2 months. He is very thoughtful, caring, and generous towards me in his actions. Many of those actions show he listens and remembers things I have told him. However, he seems uninterested in learning about my passions, and have deeper conversations in general. He wants to be around me all the time, and he doesnβt cut me off or anything like that, but he doesnβt say much in response when I try to start these conversations and he doesnβt ask me much about myself. We share a lot of values and enjoy doing a lot of the same things, and I do very much like him. Heβs doesnβt hold back in verbalizing his affection, but our conversations (in addition to lacking curiosity towards me) are also a bit one sided.
Normally when I meet someone like this, they tend to be all around selfish, but heβs not. Heβs very willing to put me first in every other way but conversation.
Iβm introverted but very analytical. I canβt figure out if the conversation, along with the good qualities of our relationship are just too much to expect from one human? If anyone has been in a similar situation, Iβd love to know how things worked out.
This is a serious question, because it seems to me at first glance that the only difference is that Libertarianism is associated with right wing extremism, and Anarchism with left wing extremism.
At least for womenβs underwear. I have no experience with that of men. Underwear canβt do itβs job if itβs so thin and flimsy that you feel all the goddamn seams of your pants through it. How is it supposed to act as a protective barrier? Stay where itβs supposed to stay and not migrate? Point is, I will not buy thin ass light as a feather expensive βbarely thereβ underwear. I donβt understand why anyone would unless they are trying to get either (1) chafed or (2) bodily fluids all over their pants. Neither is appealing.
My general sense from the word is that itβs a village headman kind of thing, as is found all over the world. But would be interested to know more.
