So this is my first attempt at trying to add value to our beloved ape community. I decided to see what I could find out about this closed meeting the SEC had on deck for today. What I found is mostly above my head but it does sound to me that someone(s) about to get pinched?

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

PART 1NATIONAL CYCLE HIRE SCHEME

1 National Cycle Hire Scheme

(1) The National Cycle Hire Scheme shall be established in this section.

(2) The aims of this Part are the following—

>(a) to establish the framework of the National Cycle Hire Scheme; and
(b) to provide the necessary measures to ensure the smooth operation of the scheme.

2 Application of the Scheme

(1) The National Cycle Hire Scheme shall apply to towns and cities in the United Kingdom as laid out in Schedule 1.

(2) The Secretary of State may, by statutory instrument, add towns and cities to Schedule 1.

3 Bicycles and bicycle docking stations

(1) Bicycle docking stations shall be installed in locations across the areas where the scheme is applied under Schedule 1 of this Act.

(2) Electric bikes shall be parked at these locations.

4 Registration and hiring

(1) If a person wants to hire a bicycle at a bicycle docking station, the person must—

>(a) register as a National Cycle Hire Scheme user; then
(b) pay a registration fee; then
(c) pay an unlimited short journey fee; then
(d) unpark the bicycle from the bicycle docking station.

(2) A person shall register by the creation of an online account specifically for the National Cycle Hire Scheme.

(3) A person shall pay the registration fee and the unlimited short journey fee by the online account mentioned in subsection (2).

5 Journeys

(1) A person is to have commenced a ‘journey’ when they unpark the bicycle from the bicycle docking station.

(2) A journey is to have ended when they park the bicycle in a bicycle docking station.

(3) A ‘short journey’ shall last for 30 minutes between the commencement of the journey and the parking of the bicycle at the bicycle docking station.

(4) If a person—

>(a) has commenced a journey; and
(b) the time since the person unparked

MY MAIN THEORY (still evolving but I'm starting to become even more convinced that this is the reason):

What we know:

• GME confirmed that as of January 31, 2021, the stock was shorted over 100%
• GME's 10-K referenced that a short squeeze MAY happen based on events up to and including March 17, 2021
• GOD-TIER DD: Shorts haven't covered yet

My conclusion based on the information above:

• If you read between the lines, GME CONFIRMED on March 23, 2021 that a short squeeze HASN'T HAPPENED YET
• CONFIRMATION BIAS CONFIRMED! u/greysweatseveryday (a securities lawyer ape) agrees with my reading between the lines conclusion. Comment can be found here thank you fellow lawyer ape! 🙏
• I don't know why they'd do this because it doesn't seem like it's necessary to do so, and there are many possible theories for this (see below)
• My own personal theory for why they'd do this: to cause a catalyst by third parties so 🍌🚀🌕, while covering themselves in case anyone accuses them of price manipulation, and also basically saying that anyone who says the squeeze happened is incorrect.
• Everyone's comments and the conversations I've had since posting has actually helped me to better formulate my theory (which is still evolving as I learn/discuss more). Thank you for your input!

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.

The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:

"What's sarong with that?"

I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).

His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.

1: Who's footing the bill?

Huge controversy when u/rensole voiced his thoughts on the floor (which personally I thought was very harsh on him especially with his track record and what I am about to cover below).

Ape knows apeself: hodl and diamond hand to Andromeda. But does ape have true knowledge of the enemy? In this particular instance, does ape know where the tendies will come from to pay out at targeted floor?

Most generally consider two key points in finding their own targets for the floor:

1. The stock has been shorted many times its float, with the real SI being a lot more than 100%. Shorts must cover, and therefore those with the shares can dictate the price, especially with so many shorts as compared to the actual shares. This principle is correct and the fundamental basis

I've noticed a lot of misinformation on here about day trading in a TFSA. The question seems to come up every so often and people argue over how many trades you can place per week before it will be considered day trading. In fact, total number of trades and information on individual trades isn't even in the information that financial institutions send to the CRA on an annual basis about your TFSA (the list of information is here in Appendix A: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/publications/rc4477/tax-free-savings-account-tfsa-guide-issuers.html).

So here's the truth. This issue is currently before the Tax Court of Canada and should be decided before too long, as long as the case doesn't settle before going to trial.

TL;DR: There is a chance that if you go to the moon in your TFSA, the CRA may come after you.

The case is Canadian Western Trust Company (...) TFSA v. The Queen, Court File #2015-4080(IT)G. You can track its progress on the Tax Court of Canada website here: https://www.tcc-cci.gc.ca/en/pages/find-a-court-file. It's been bogged down in procedural matters, with the taxpayer having filed a request for disclosure which was denied by the courts. However, the pleadings (notice of appeal & reply) are publicly available on request. Some highlights:

• The taxpayer was a professional investment advisor
• The income assessed, in aggregate, was around $600,000 across 4 years
• The government says the TFSA "had a history of extensive buying and selling of securities or a quick turnover of properties"
• The government says "the majority of the securities purchased by the TFSA trust were penny stocks traded on the venture exchange and relate primarily to the junior mining industry"

This doesn't mean that the government will only go after professional advisors or very frequent traders. I think the main criteria they use to flag your account is how much money you have in your TFSA, which is one of the data elements provided to the CRA in the link above ("calendar year end fair market value"). The government's position is that you are carrying on a business in your TFSA and that accordingly, the income you
