A list of puns related to "Subchondral"
Hi. I am 33 years old, male.
I have just been on xrays, and my result is that... I have lumbar scoliosis, Tortuosis lumbal spine, and low level S1-L5 with subchondral sclerosis.
Does this means that I have osteoarthritis?
I have recently had an MR done of my hip, which confirmed the diagnosis ankylosing spondylitis. Another thing, they found was " a small subchondral fractur on the left head of femur with bone marrow edema. Right head without fracture but with bone marrow edema". Anyone here who has something similar?
Backstory: I had a left ankle sprain ~7 months ago that I didn't notice immediately and kept using it for ~1 month. Then I got an MRI that said I had a bruised talus bone a high-grade tear of the deep deltoid ligament complex, I was put in a boot for 6 weeks to heal. 6 weeks pass and my ankle feels worse than before but my primary Dr (sports medicine Dr at a university) prescribes physical therapy saying its just stiff, I go through 1 month of physical therapy before my insurance stops covering it and I start at home self-PT. My ankle begins to feel better but still swollen, shortened ROM with pain at extremities, and low strength plus a clicking/popping noise everytime i move my ankle. My primary Dr sends me for another MRI:
I turned 26 in June so my previous insurance ended 6/30/20 and my primary Dr left without telling me, leaving me with a new Dr. She recommended going to see a specialist which I went to see yesterday 6/30/20. My new insurance begins today 7/01/20.
During the appointment he was very rushed and brief. I brought images of the 2nd MRI and a report from the Radiology department outlining their analysis and he didn't seem to have looked at either, he was only concerned about the deep deltoid tear and even then said "i'm not worried" but gave no explanation about treatment options going forward or recovery time frame. When I asked about the osteochondral lesion, he was surprised and said "you don't have that" even though it's in print on the official report, after which he said he's not worried unless there's fluid underneath (isnt this the underlying edema?) and made no reference to the clicking/popping I brought up. From here he made a noticeable effort to end the appointment like walking out in the middle of a question. He was a fucking huge waste of time which I was surprised about since he had hundreds of good reviews. Currently it is still slightly swollen, had shortened ROM w/ pain, low strength, and the clicking/popping
So should I be concerned about the above issues? What are the treatment options/recovery times for these and can they heal on their own? My primary Dr said I would need surgery to fix it, the specialist said he wasn't worried, should I get a third opinion?
Background information: 35, Female, Vitamin D deficient thatβs now under control.
Injured ankle in May 2019, thought it was a sprain, little swelling. July 2019, ankle started to lock, found out it was due to an osteochondral fracture. Aug 2019, had surgery to fix the fracture and had a Bostrom implant for the very loose ligament. Physiotherapy started in Oct 2019 and to date Iβm still using 1 crutch due to muscle weakness in the leg.
Jan 2020, had intense pain and sensitivity over ankle, pain was different from the kind experienced after injury. Was told physio session might have been too intense, laid off physio for 1 week. Earlier this week, felt the same pain again and saw my specialist; he ordered an MRI and the results showed 2 things: 1) anterolateral ankle impingement and 2) mild subchondral bone marrow oedema with denuded overlying cartilage (this cartilage is on the top; prior injuryβs cartilage was bottom).
He gave me a steroid injection to solve 1), but the pain is still there when I walk (less intense) and doc mentioned that if pain still persists, itβll be a cartilage issue. He didnβt tell me how itβll be resolved and Iβm hoping someone can share with me what possible remedies could be.
Thank you!
My guy, 16 year old 16hh thoroughbred, was diagnosed with a subchondral bone cyst in his right stifle. I got it injected, but he was still never 100%. Heβs had it for a while, but itβs just now causing an issue. At least thatβs what the vet thinks. Just wanting to gather more information and hear what others have done for treatment. Iβd love to get a couple more jumper show seasons in before I retire him, but I need to make sure heβs comfortable and sound.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
The nurse asked the rabbit, βwhat is your blood type?β
βI am probably a type Oβ said the rabbit.

The doctor says it terminal.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat

How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
Mathematical puns makes me number
We told her she can lean on us for support. Although, we are going to have to change her driver's license, her height is going down by a foot. I don't want to go too far out on a limb here but it better not be a hack job.
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
But let me give it a shot.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
