Strike Match Puns

Poetry is good for amateurs; literature is best left to prose.

I've somehow made a hobby of creating (often very nerdy) puns, wordplay, and absurdities. Some of them have been sold on t-shirts. Most of them just end up as a FB status. They are not (at) all great, but they are original, so far as I know. Now I'm going to leave them here.

We're getting ready for bed, and I let one rip. The gf tells me to light a match to get rid of the smell.

As I'm going to light it, I turn to her: "So I guess you could say there's quite the... <strikes match>....SPARK in the bedroom tonight?"

Groan-filled laughter ensued.

Dad- "You don't get a paid holiday?" Me- "Nope." D-"You should unionize, you know, strike." M- "Strike what? Strike what a match?" D- "Yeah, that would really get the fire going."
