About thirty minutes ago my lights flickered, followed by a big explosion to the west that scared me and my dog. Did anybody else hear it? Does anybody know what mightβve caused it? UPDATE: As some of the commenters mentioned, it mustve been a blown transformer! Since it was only heard around my neighborhood and the lights only went out here.
My girlfriend, mom, and I were all woken up by a loud boom somewhere outside our house just south of 540A. Did anyone else hear it?

I am looking to advertise a bedroom for rent at my house. Me (26 male) and my brother (29 male) live there. We are looking for someone of a similar age and ideally same interests. We play video games like WoW classic, Magic the Gathering, Dota 2, and FPS games, we are PC gamers.
I own the home and work as a Real Estate agent. I help people buy and sell homes, basically. My brother works in sanitation and services sewer lines of various Florida cites.
There is NEW carpet in the bedroom, which is 13ft x 12ft. The house is a 3/2. It's a split floor plan. 1809 square foot heated. The prospective renter would share the bathroom with one person, my brother. I have the master on the other side of the house.
I accept month to month Lease plans. The only requirement is First and Last months rent ($1200 total). I also will need your past two pay stubs to confirm your income. Rent is due at the 1st of the month and a 25 dollar late fee applies if you are over 2 weeks late.
Pets and children are not allowed. 1 person to the room.

Does anyone know what the loud boom in South Lakeland at around 9:30 pm tonight was? We were leaving a movie at the Cobb in lakeside village when we heard it.
My boyfriend thought maybe it was a jet from Sun n Fun, but it seemed a little late for that.
